Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Littleton High wrestling team did well at the Douglas County tournament last weekend. James McNally took 1st, Kieran Britt took 2nd, Eddie Flores took 3rd and Sal Gonzales took 4th. The team wrestles Thursday at Highlands Ranch.

Academic Announcements:

Are you interested in joining the Newspaper or Yearbook staff next year? We're currently recruiting. Pick up an application from counseling, outside 140, or from Miss Kron or Mrs. Smith. Any questions, please see Miss Kron or Mrs. Smith.

Club Announcements:

Green Club is meeting today after school. Come help with recycling and make Mother Earth proud! There will be snacks!

Greetings Philosophers, we'll be meeting this Thursday after school from 2:30 to 3:30 in Room 102. Anyone is welcome to come by to join in the conversation. See you this Thursday.

CRUSE Club meets after school on Thursday the 19th in room 144. Does recycling cool junk to make art sound fun? The CRUSE Club is for you! We'll have free cookies and make some jewelry with computer wire and beads at Thursday's meeting! See Ms. Jeannelle or Mr. Chandler for more information!

Attention all Student Council members---please let Ms Prestel know ASAP if you can go on the SAFE Leadership conference on bullying in February. I sent many of you notes; if you could tell me by the end of this week, I would really appreciate it!

Sports Announcements:

Come out and support our Lion Unified Basketball team tonight at Chatfield HS at 7:00pm – Hope to see you there! Go LIONS!!

Special Events:

The annual LPS Secondary Art Show is now on display at Bemis Library (lower level) through January 23rd. Twenty students from Littleton High School have their artwork displayed. Parents, teachers, administrators, students and all art lovers are invited to attend the closing reception on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 5:30-7:30pm.

Do you have a special person you want to ask out on a date, girls? Winter Dance at LHS is a girls-ask-guys type of dance. It will be held on Saturday Jan. 28th from 8-11 pm and it is a semi-formal dance allowing for students to dress according to the theme of "A Day at the Beach!" Make sure you are dress code appropriate! This is a chance for you to get a BIG group of your friends and go to the dance!! The cost is only $8--so come on out and chase away your winter blues!!

For those who wish to bring a guest to the Winter Dance on January 28th, guest forms are available at student services.

Attention Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Therese in the main office.
