Academic Announcements:

TCAP, formerly known as CSAP, will be given this week.
• Today will be a normal 8 period day for ALL students.
• Freshman will report to school at 7:20am tomorrow, Thursday and Friday and at 11:25am on Wednesday
• Sophomores will report to school at 7:20am all days
• Juniors and Seniors will report to school at 11:25am all days
For all bus riding students - there will be a second bus run on Wednesday, March 7th 4 hours delayed to bring you to LHS for lunch and classes. Class periods will be as follows:

Attention Freshmen: Math Method classes will not be meeting this week due to TCAP testing.

IB JUNIORS: You MUST attend one of the Extended Essay kick-off sessions during TCAP week. Come Tuesday OR Thursday at 9:30 am in the Forum. We will introduce the EE process, timeline, and expectations. See Ms. Anderson or Mrs. Stulock with questions.

Mock the Bard! Auditions will be held today for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged, the LHS Mane Stage Spring show directed by Nick Riley. Please see the callboard outside of 146 for information and to sign up for an audition time!

A reminder for students planning to take an AP exam this spring - please complete your registration on your Naviance account and return with your payment, cash or check made out to LHS, to the Counseling Office no later than 3 pm on March 21. Students wanting to apply for scholarships for AP tests MUST see Mrs. Zerr by Noon tomorrow.

Reminder if you plan to take the Swim Test on Wed., March 7, you MUST sign-up in the Counseling Office by 3 pm on Tuesday, March 6. There are two time slots open, 7:30 am or 9:30 am. Students must be at the pool ready to swim at their assigned time. The test is open to all LPS students.

Club Announcements:

The Peace Jam Club will meet today in Room 206 between 2:20 and 2:45pm

ATTENTION all Student Council Officers, Ambassadors and General Council members, we have a General Council meeting TODAY in the forum at 2:20. Please make sure you can attend. Thanks!

TCAP PRIZES!!! That's right! You can win great prizes just by taking tests here at LHS! Student Council will be giving out 8 gift cards to Qdoba, Chipotl, Starbucks, and King Soopers for 4 freshmen and 4 sophomores who have perfect attendance day by day during TCAPs. On Friday, we will put every student in a drawing who has attended EVERY test, EVERY day for a chance to win a FREE NUGGETS ticket!! There are 4 tickets to be won--so be here everyday and do your best!

Special Events:

ATTENTION IB STAFF, SENIORS AND FAMILIES - Save the date! The annual IB Senior Picnic will be held on Sat., May 12th at Sterne Park from 12 noon to 3 pm. Look for an email invitation in early April with details. We will also be taking orders for the IB Senior Memory Book/CD.

Other Announcements:

Effective March 1, school breakfast and school lunch prices have increased. The new cost for a student breakfast is $1.55; the new cost for a student lunch is $2.90.

EVERYONE is invited! Get your St. Patrick’s Day started out right by supporting LHS Performing Arts at the Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair on Saturday March 17th from 9am to 4pm in the cafeteria and gym. Hungry for decadent toffee? Need a gift for MOTHER’S DAY? How about gifts for all of those Spring Birthdays? Come spend a couple of hours browsing all of the creative vendors handmade items and services related to performing and visual arts. This is guaranteed to be a fun day for all with musical and theatrical performances throughout the day!

Hi Lions! A few more days until LPS Foundation night with the Denver Nuggets, on Sunday March 11 at 6:00 pm at the Pepsi Center. Tickets are only $18, and LHS makes money on each ticket sold.
