Academic Announcements:

Thursday’s TCAP testing schedule:
• Freshmen and Sophomores will report to school at 7:20am
• Juniors and Seniors will report to school at 11:25am
Class periods will be P. 5 and P. 7

Attention Freshmen: Math Method classes will not be meeting this week due to TCAP testing.

Attention TCAP students: Please remember to bring your calculator for your math tests on Friday.

TCAP PRIZES!!! That's right! You can win great prizes just by taking tests here at LHS! Student Council will be giving out 8 gift cards to Qdoba, Chipotle, Starbucks, and King Soopers for 4 freshmen and 4 sophomores who have perfect attendance day by day during TCAPs. On Friday, we will put every student in a drawing who has attended EVERY test, EVERY day for a chance to win a FREE NUGGETS ticket!! There are 4 tickets to be won--so be here everyday and do your best!

IB JUNIORS: You MUST attend one of the Extended Essay kick-off sessions during TCAP week. Come today OR Thursday at 9:30 am in the Forum. We will introduce the EE process, timeline, and expectations. See Ms. Anderson or Mrs. Stulock with questions.

A reminder for students planning to take an AP exam this spring - please complete your registration on your Naviance account and return with your payment, check made out to LHS or cash, to the Counseling Office no later than 3 pm on March 21. Students wanting to apply for scholarships for AP tests MUST see Mrs. Zerr by Noon tomorrow.

Club Announcements:

Green Club has been cancelled today because of a faculty meeting. We will meet next week.

Want to be a part of history and help start the first ever LHS girls'
Ultimate Frisbee team? Or, would you like to play in the most competitive
open division? If so, come out to the first spring Frisbee practice,
Thursday at 2:30 on the grass practice field. If you can't make it,
sign up with Ms. Rosenberg.

FBLA members, we have a meeting Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2:20 pm in room 124. We will be discussing upcoming events that will take us through the end of the school year! Don't miss it! If you are attending the state conference please be in attendance.


Sports Announcements:

All girls tennis players: Practice will be at the normal time of 3:00 pm if the weather and temperature are cooperative. If not, meet in room 137 at 3:30 pm.


Special Events:

ATTENTION IB STAFF, SENIORS AND FAMILIES - Save the date! The annual IB Senior Picnic will be held on Sat., May 12th at Sterne Park from 12 noon to 3 pm. Look for an email invitation in early April with details. We will also be taking orders for the IB Senior Memory Book/CD.

Other Announcements:

Are you looking for some great entertainment? Then come see the CU Buffoons Acapella group on March 15th, on the LHS Mane Stage at 7pm. Adult tickets are $7 and students are $5. Proceeds go to benefit the charity Drennen's Dreams.

Seniors - if you did not pick up your announcement orders from Josten's, you can pick them up at the attendance office. Please do so A.S.A.P.

Effective March 1, school breakfast and school lunch prices have increased. The new cost for a student breakfast is $1.55; the new cost for a student lunch is $2.90.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.

EVERYONE is invited! Get your St. Patrick’s Day started out right by supporting LHS Performing Arts at the Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair on Saturday March 17th from 9am to 4pm in the cafeteria and gym. Hungry for decadent toffee? Need a gift for MOTHER’S DAY? How about gifts for all of those Spring Birthdays? Come spend a couple of hours browsing all of the creative vendors handmade items and services related to performing and visual arts. This is guaranteed to be a fun day for all with musical and theatrical performances throughout the day!

Hi Lions! A few more days until LPS Foundation night with the Denver Nuggets, on Sunday March 11 at 6:00 pm at the Pepsi Center. Tickets are only $18, and LHS makes money on each ticket sold. Invite your family, friends and neighbors, and make sure LHS gets the credit for any tickets you purchase. Just go to www.LPSFoundation.com, and click on the Nuggets Logo. Select Littleton H. S. from the drop down menu and follow the simple directions through the Avalanche ticket site. A fun night of basketball, and also extra money for our school… it’s a perfect combo!

Take Charge of Education Program
Target Visa, Credit and Debit Card holders, we need your help! All you have to do is shop! Target’s Take Charge of Education program donates 1% of your purchase to Littleton High School whenever you shop at Target and pay with your Target Visa, Target Credit card or Target Debit card. However, you must designate Littleton High School as your school of choice. You may do this either online or over the phone. Online, click on the Manage Your Account tab and follow the steps to designate Littleton High School or you may call 1-800-316-6142 and press 1, you will then speak to a customer service representative who will take your information. It’s as easy as that.

Every time you use your card or cards at Target we will receive 1% of the total from your purchases; if you use your Target Visa card elsewhere, we will receive ½ % from your purchase. 1% does not sound like a lot but look at the numbers. Currently 54 people have Littleton High School designated as their school. This year, we received a check for $815.48, last year $964.28. We have over 1300 students at our school. If we can triple the number of families participating, that would triple the donation Target makes to LHS. This money supplements our many programs that make Littleton High School such a great school.
