Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the LHS Track team for their award wining performance at the Mullen Invitational track meet held this past weekend! Way to go LIONS!!

Academic Announcements:


Attention ELA students! Summer school is right around the corner and a limited number of scholarships are available to support you. If you are interested, see your counselor immediately, complete an application and turn it in to Mr. Garner in room 119 no later than Friday, April 20.

Club Announcements:

Attention 2012-2013 Yearbook Staff! We will have a quick meeting after school today in room 140 beginning at 2:20. See you there!

Student Council officers, ambassadors and General Council members have a meeting today in the forum after school. We are taking attendance and talking about elections AND giving out popsicles!! See you there!

For Earth Week at Littleton High School, the Balance, Green, NHS, and Peace Jam Clubs are sponsoring activities in celebration of Earth Day and growing environmental awareness. We hope you can participate in the following activities:
• Mon: Tie Dye Party, 2:30-3:30, room 143 - sign up with Mary Rosenberg
• Tues: Paper Bag Decorating, after school, main lobby
• Wed: Lion Pride Clean Up Day, 2:30-3:30, front walkway. Bring your own work gloves, wear a hat and sunscreen. Trash bags and snacks will be provided.
• Thurs: Ride Your Bike to School Day. Breakfast will be provided in the cafeteria.
• Friday: Wear Green Day
Environmental Film Festival every block in the Forum. See the film list and times posted on the Peace Jam Bulletin Board outside the Library and tune into the daily announcements for more details

Do you know who the Republican presidential nominee is? Do you know about ObamaCare? Do you know if you are 18 by October 8, 2012, you can register to vote? Come register outside the cafeteria during lunches this week!

All Technology student association members, we have a meeting on Thursday to discuss officers for next year, end of the year gathering and lettering ceremony. We will meet in the tech lab at 2:20 pm - See you there.

Today it begins...the LHS FBLA 50-50 Challenge. Did you know that the March of Dimes helps save the lives of many premature babies through special therapy treatments for their lungs? Help raise money to make this possible and you just might be the lucky winner of 1/2...yes that is 1/2 of all money raised during the 50/50 challenge! Tickets are available today through Thursday during A and B lunch outside of the cafeteria.

ATTENTION: All Ice Hockey Players and Parents of Littleton Public High Schools! After surviving the Nazi death camp in Auschwitz, Holocaust survivor Jack Welner made himself a promise--to be a living testament against the evils of racism and discrimination and for the powerful, positive potential of humanity. Mr. Welner shares his story with the support of DeAnne Kapnik, Director of Programming, Mizel Museum of Judaica.

LOOSE CHANGE FOR UGANDA!! The Remember Campaign members and Student Council want you to bring in all your loose change and dollar bills to donate to our LOOSE CHANGE FOR UGANDA fundraiser. We will be collecting from you during the all of the Remember presentations this week; then Student Council will match the amount of funds raised through the loose change collection! Our goal is $600! THANKS!

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) will be on stage this week! Come to see the amazing dramatic LHS talent that makes this event possible! April 19th and 20th at 7:00pm and April 21st at 6:00pm on the Mane stage.

Attention seniors and juniors, we have new information regarding Masks at Prom. In order to honor the theme of Masquerade, Student Council will PROVIDE masks at Prom for anyone who wants one. We will also have masks for the picture booth so that you can take your Prom pictures with a mask. Again, Student Council will provide masks for you at Prom so PLEASE do not bring your own! See you there!

Prom tickets will go on sale this week on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th in the cafeteria during both lunches. They will also be available all next week during lunches and after school at the bookkeepers. They are $40 per person; please make sure you have your school ID. Also, remember any guests you bring to Prom NEED to have an ID with them the night of PROM. Thanks!

Prom guest forms are available at Student Services and the Main office. Please return the completed form to Student Services by April 26, 2012.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: After Prom tickets go on sale tomorrow in the cafeteria hallway during lunches for the price of $10 each. The first 100 ticket buyers will get a coupon for a free Dairy Queen treat at the Streets of Southglenn location! All who buy their tickets in advance are entered in drawings for multiple door prizes. Don’t miss out!!

If you have lost your ID and need it for Prom, remakes are available in the library for $5!
