Academic Announcements:

Seniors, your mandatory Senior Exit Surveys are being conducted every day this week in Post Grad. The survey takes only about 15 minutes to complete, and you'll love it!  So, if you do actually want to graduate this year, stop by Post Grad any time this week to complete your Senior Exit Survey.

Advisement Leader applications for interested juniors and seniors are in the main office and are due on Friday, May 11th.  See Ms Prestel if you have any questions.

All students signed up for AP Calculus classes please check in with Mr. Zolla in the math office.

Club Announcements:

Hey Green Club members, our last meeting is today!  Let's celebrate our very excellent year.  There will be fun stuff like recycling, prepping plants for the plant sale, checking out our compost bin, and eating pizza.  See you there!

Attention all Student Council members: Remember, our banquet is tonight at 6:30pm at the Mellow Mushroom at SouthGlenn.  Please bring 7 dollars and we will see you there!!

Sports Announcements:

Soccer lovers – come on down to the grass fields today at 2:45 to 4:00 for some "kick-around" fun.  All interested players are invited.

There will be a mandatory meeting for any girls interested in playing softball next season. The meeting will be at Heritage HS, tomorrow from 3:15-4:15 in the 2nd floor lecture hall.

Anyone interested in playing Boys' Tennis in the fall should check in with Coach Zolla before the end of school.

Special Events:

Spring Fling is "Lion in the Grass!" that is our theme for this year's Spring Fling end of the year PARTY for the ENTIRE school!  Student Council invites you to head down to the grass soccer fields on Friday starting right after the Senior Assembly--we will have FREE food and drinks, plus a couple of bouncy castles, Frisbee, volleyball, soccer, football and tons and tons of fun!  Take all your books and backpacks with you, because the school will be locked soon after we leave the gym.  We'll see you there on Friday!!!

Other Announcements:

SENIORS--you can pick up your class shirts after school Wednesday and Thursday of this week or at the Breakfast on Friday.  They will be available in the senior hall by the Bulletin Board.

If you still haven't received your yearbook, stop by the bookkeeper’s office and pick it up. Remember all fees and fines must be paid before you can pick up your yearbook. There are still a few books for sale and the cost is $60. Books are available on a first come, first serve basis. See Mrs. Smith with questions.

FRIDAY IS A BIG DAY IN THE LIBRARY - ALL LIBRARY BOOKS AND MATERIALS ARE DUE AND LOST AND FOUND WILL BE EMPTIED.   PLEASE COME DOWN AND CLAIM YOUR ITEMS. CLOTHING WILL BE DONATED; ALL OTHER ITEMS WILL BE DISCARDED.

Operation Smoke Signal is a large-scale disaster training drill that will take place at the Metro Fire Training Academy  (2301 W Chenango Street, Littleton), on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The drill will be facilitated by O.M.E.G.A., a non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to support local, state and federal agencies with disaster preparedness and disaster response.

Members of the community, including LPS students, are invited to volunteer as role players who are victims of a massive tornado. The disaster drill's focal point is to enhance the skill sets of local emergency response volunteers.  If you are interested in participating, you can go online to  www.OMEGAresponders.org for additional information

Blog Announcements:

Students:   When you return in August, you will no longer log into the computers using your first initial last name. Because of this change, the files you have saved on the student server will no longer be available.  Please make sure you have saved your files from the student server to some other storage device (e.g. flash drive, upload to GoogleApps, etc) BEFORE you leave for the summer.  If you have any questions or need help, please come to the library.

Hi Lions! The last LPS Foundation event for this school year will be a Rapids soccer game on Saturday, May 19. What a great way to kick off summer! As always, ticket purchases benefit both the Foundation AND Littleton High School! Tickets can be purchased through the LPS Foundation website at www.lpsfoundation.com. Get your neighbors and friends and make a fun evening it! Tickets are limited, so purchase early!
