Congratulations to our Lion Pride Marching band with a 3rd place win at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday, August 25th and to our Lion Pride Color Guard for their 1st place win!! Way to go, LIONS!!

Academic Announcements:

Advisement starts this week!!! If you are a freshman and you have advisement on your schedule, you will attend this week. If you are scheduled in period 1,3, 5 or 7, you will go on Thursday of this week, August 30th. If you are in 2, 4, 6, or 8 you will go Friday, August 31st.  Your Advisement room will be the room you go to during Freshmen elections.  See signs outside the Counseling office if you do not know which room you are assigned.  See you there!!  If you have questions, see Ms. Prestel or Ms. MO!

Club Announcements:

ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN BEING IN STUDENT COUNCIL--we are having our First General Council meeting today at 2:20 in the forum.  We will be talking about freshmen elections, ambassador selections, Homecoming theme and activities and much, much more--PLUS popcicles will be served-YUM!  So, if you want to be a part of increasing school spirit at LHS, come and join Student Council!! 

FRESHMEN interested in running for a Student Council Officer Position, pick up a packet from a Student Council member in your 9th grade Social Studies class, the main office, or from Ms Prestel in the Social Studies office.  WE WANT YOU!

The LHS Improv Club meeting with alumni Jeff Garland will not be today.  We will meet on Friday, August 31st on the Mane Stage after school.

The Peace Jam Club will have its first meeting tomorrow between 2:20 and 2:45 in Room 206.   We welcome all who are interested in international and leadership issues.

What is Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)? Come and find out at the first meeting of the year this Thursday in room 120 at 2:20.  Ice cream bars will be served.

Interested in Adventure? Last year, the adventure ed club learned about team building, played in the snow with cross country skis, snowshoes, and sleds, hiked Matthews Winters Park & Red Rocks and put on a teambuilding icebreaker for the LHS staff.  Attend a short informational club meeting this Wednesday at 2:30 in Room 105. If you cannot attend and have interest, see Mr. Vanoni or Ms. Davis.

Sports Announcements:

Attention Girl Soccer Players!  Any girls interested in playing soccer for LHS next Spring should attend a short meeting on Wednesday, August 29th at 2.20pm in room 133E. You will receive information on preseason, indoor soccer, and training dates. See coach Banfield if you are unable to attend.

Any boy interested in going out for Boy’s basketball this winter, please attend a mandatory meeting Thursday 8/30 at 2:20pm in room 121. See Coach Ellis with questions.

Special Events:

Please support our after prom buy purchasing a delicious frozen yogurt from Yogo Mojo during Back to School Night.  The cost is $3.00 and we will be set up in the Cafe. 

The Fall theater show this year is Big Love by Charles Mee. If you would like to audition, please attend an informational meeting on WEDS 29 AUG after school in room 146. If you cannot attend, please see kmart or check the callboard for more information. Auditions will be on 5 September.

The LHS Choirs will be singing the National Anthem at the Wednesday, September 12th, Rockies vs. Giants game at Coors Field.  If you would like to support the choirs and enjoy a Rockies game you can buy a $32 ticket for only $24.  See the LHS Bookkeeper or Mr. Farrell to buy tickets.

SOPHOMORES: Do you LOVE Littleton? Are you eager to share your school spirit? Do you remember what it was like to “shop” for high schools when you were in 8th grade? Then apply to be a LION CUB SHADOW HOST! Pick up an application in the counseling office and return it by Thursday, August 30. Questions: Mrs. Stulock in the IB department.
