Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Varsity Football Team won their Homecoming game Friday night 34-27 over the Golden Demons, and the JV Football team won a barn burner on Saturday morning, winning 56-48 at Golden High School.  Way to go, LIONS!!

Congratulations to all of our float winners for the Homecoming Parade!  In the motorized division 1st place went to the Sophomore float, 2nd place to the Junior float and 3rd place to TSA.  In the walking division, 1st place went to the Marching Band, 2nd place to Thespians and 3rd place to the Key Club.

Academic Announcements:

Juniors and seniors interested in hearing more about the LPS Concurrent Enrollment Program that allows dual enrollment between Littleton High School, with Arapahoe Community College and Metropolitan State University of Denver should plan to attend an important, informative meeting tomorrow at 2:30 pm in the LHS Forum.  Please see Mr. Puchino with any questions. 

Attention all Juniors & Seniors.  Post Grad is hosting admissions representatives from 7 colleges and universities this week, including Cal Tech and Stonehill College today, and the University of Colorado at Denver, Baylor Montana State, Drexel and Kalamazoo College later in the week. Please sign up to attend meetings on your Naviance account, and stop buy Post Grad to pick up a pass at some point prior to the meeting time.  These meetings are important to your future...don't miss out!

Club Announcements:

Attention all Student Council members, there is a General Council meeting TODAY at 2:20 in the forum.  We will be doing our Homecoming Evaluation and talk about new committees for Halloween activities PLUS there will be cookies!

HIP HOP will have a meeting today Monday October 1st in Room 212 @ 2:30 to discuss performing October 6th.  It is important to attend and have your voice heard.

The Peace Jam and Green Clubs welcome anyone who is interested in helping to organize International Education Week events at our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd, between 2:20 and 2:45pm in Room 206.   Hope to see you there!

FCCLA will be meeting this Thursday, Oct. 4th, after school in room 120.  Come help us make posters for our bake sale and Coats for Colorado coat drive.

Sport Announcements:

Heritage-Littleton Women's Lacrosse:  Please join us on Monday, October 8th, from 6:30-8:00 pm in the 3rd floor lecture hall at Heritage High school for our first important player-parent meeting.  You will receive information for the upcoming 2013 season and meet the coaches.  We will go over player fees, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, and other important information.  If you are unable to attend, please e-mail your contact information to hlwomenslacrosse@gmail.com

Blog Announcements:

Attention all students:  If you wish to attend any home sporting event you will need to present a current 2012-2013 LHS student ID.  If you have an Athletic Pass you can enter the game without charge; without the pass, entry will be $3.00.  If you come without your current ID, you may be charged $5.00.   

Picture re-take and picture make-up day is scheduled for Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 10:30a-12:30p in the theater lobby.  If you have received your picture package and would like a re-make of the picture, please bring the first package for exchange.  If you missed picture day in August, please stop by to have your picture taken.  Order forms are available in the Main office.

For further information on the PSAT, the practice SAT test, please stop by the Counseling office.  The cost of the test is $20 and will be held at LHS on Oct. 17 at 7:30 am.  Space is limited and signups will go thru Oct. 12. 

PLAN - Practice ACT, all sophomores will be required to take the PLAN test at LHS on Oct. 10 beginning at 7:30 am.  Additional information will be distributed to the students prior to the test.  There is no fee for the test. 

THE STRIDE is a community 5K and 10K running and walking event coming on October 28. It is organized by the Littleton Foundation to raise money for our schools, and financial awards are given to the schools that have the most participants. Last year LHS beat out Heritage and Arapahoe and we received one thousand dollars for our school. We want to win again this year and we need your help. Get your friends and family members to sign up for THE STRIDE through our school webpage. Get your registrations in and let's win this thing again LIONS!!!

Project CURE needs student help Monday - Project CURE is a non-profit organization that delivers donated medical supplies and equipment to under-served clinics and hospitals in developing countries around the world. Monday, October 1st is Child Health Day. Students, you can help Project Cure that day by assembling medical kits at Swedish Medical Center from 7 am to 7 pm.
