Student Recognition & Congratulations:
The Unified Lions played a tough game last night against the LPS Transition team coming away with a narrow Victory 89-82. The Lions would like to thank the boys’ basketball team for serving a wonderful dinner, the band, cheerleaders and Poms for making it a very special night. Next game is Feb 6th at Mountain Vista. Way to go LIONS!!

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.
Club Announcements:
If you applied for newspaper or yearbook, don't forget to sign up for an interview. Interviews happen today, tomorrow and Thursday from 2:30-3:15. See Ms. Kron or Mrs. Smith for more details.
The Peace Jam and Green Clubs will meet in Room 206 at 2:20 today. Green Club is especially in great need of students who can help with the recycling program. Community Service, IB CAS credit, and great appreciation will be given for your efforts! We hope to see you there!
Chocolate Roses are on sale now for $1. See an FCCLA member to purchase. We will be having an FCCLA meeting this Thursday, after school, in room 120. If you are going to District Conference pick up your permission slip and bring your $10 registration fee on Thursday.
Sport Announcements:
The girls basketball teams return to action tonight with home games against ThunderRidge. We would love to have a large and loud crowd come out to support the program tonight. The games are at 4:00, 5:30, and 7:00. See you there!
Attention Boys Swimmers: There will be an important meeting this Wednesday, January 30th at 2:30 pm in room 133W.
Attention all girl soccer players! There will be an important meeting this week for all girls wishing to play soccer for LHS this spring. Go to room 133E at 2.20pm on Thursday, Jan 31st to pick up information on tryouts and the upcoming season. See coach Banfield if you cannot attend.
Special Events:
It is Winter Dance time and that means Spirit Dress Up Days! Today is Hippie day – did you remember? Tomorrow dress like the 70's, get out those Disco clothes and finally Thurs is 80's-ready for the bright, neon colors and leg warmers! Make sure you have your class t-shirt to wear for Friday's Pep Rally! Tickets for the dance will go on sale today and throughout the week during lunches in the cafe. Cost is $8 unless you bring in a NEW pair of socks, then the tickets are only 6 dollars. See you there!
Guest forms for the "Winter Dance” on Saturday, February 2, 2013, are available at Student Services. They will be due by Thursday, January 31, 2013.

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) announced today that they are seeking 40 applicants for their 2013 Youth Academy. The CSP Youth Academy will be held in Golden, CO from June 9-15. Application deadline is March 8th. Please come to the Main Office for more information.
