Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the following TCAP testing students who have won a $10 Gift Certificate Friday!  10th grade winners: Seanna Bagdon, Michael Baker, Azalya Gaytan, Ernesto Garcia. 9th grade winners: Jonathan Barron-Reveles, Cole Becker, Lexus Garcia, Perla Garcia-Castro.  Please come to the Social Studies office and see Ms. Prestel for your prize!! Way to go LIONS!

Congratulations to these teachers for 99% attendance all week – Ms. Colli, Mrs. Loyd, Mrs. Fisher and Mr. Banfield.  They will win Starbucks Gift Cards.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity soccer team for their brilliant start to the season. They have gone through their non -league schedule with a record of 4-0, with 14 goals scored and none allowed. They are currently on top of the League and State rankings. Come and experience the magic as they start league play against Highlands Ranch tomorrow at 7pm in the stadium.

Also off to a solid start is the Girl's JV soccer team, who are 2-0 for the season. With wins against Dakota Ridge and Thomas Jefferson, the Lion's scored 10 combined goals, and have yet to concede.  Come cheer them on this Tuesday and Wednesday at 4pm, as they take on Highland's Ranch and George Washington.

CONGRATULATIONS to the following students for having 100% attendance at TCAP testing last week.  They are winners of 3 Nuggets tickets a piece!  James Walker, Corey Hard, Kayla Sapakoff, Imani Fanga, Izzy Walton, Nicole Nagel, Jonathan Sadler and Colin Cannon.  Way to make LHS proud!   Way to go LIONS!

Club Announcements:

Attention all Senior girls - there is a VERY IMPORTANT SWAG meeting today in room 132W  right after school.  Please come with three Senior guys’ names in mind and be prepared to be flexible with adding to your group.  We really want to see you there!  If you can't make it, please see Kaycee Medved, Annie Brewster or Allie Horvat.  Thanks

DECA is sponsoring a March Madness bracket challenge at the DECA store. Come pick up a March Madness bracket at the store and turn it in to the DECA store by the end of school on Wednesday for a chance to win DECA store gift certificates!

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and General Council members, we have a General Council meeting today at 2:20 in the Forum--committee reports will be heard and we are getting our Lip Dub ideas organized--so see you there!!

 Sport Announcements:

Attention All Current Volleyball Players!  Do you want to be in the LHS Lip Dub! Come to a dry run practice Tuesday, after school in the south gym.  The actual filming is Wednesday after school in the south gym. We must be ready to go at 2:35!

Thursday will be a Mandatory Volleyball Meeting in Room 133E on Thursday, March 21st after school!  Spring and summer information will be distributed! See Coach Whalen for details.

Special Events:

Clubs, activities and sports participating in the Lip Dub, we will be filming this Wednesday immediately after school.  Please see Mr. Decker or Allie Horvat ASAP if you have any questions or concerns.  If for any reason you signed up but now cannot participate, please let Mr. Decker know ASAP as there are some groups looking for a spot to join in and sing. 

The Key Club annual CU BUFFoons concert is here!  Come for a night of entertainment and A Cappella music on Thursday, March 21st at 7:00pm on the LHS Mane stage.  Tickets cost $5 for students and $7 for adults.  All the proceeds go to the Leukemia Research Foundation in the name of Haley Mellen.

Other Announcements:

Attention Seniors!!  Begin preparing your speech now.  The Graduation Speech Committee will hear all speeches, including yours, on April 9th at 2:30 p.m.  You may sign up for your speech time in advance at the front desk of the main office.  Sign-ups will be posted between March 18th and 22nd.

Blog Announcements:

Any student who is able to login to the computers with their first initial/last name MUST save all of their documents to a flash drive before Spring Break.  During Spring Break, the server will be replaced.  When you return to LHS after Spring Break, you will no longer be able to login using your first initial/last name and therefore, won't be able to get to any of your documents.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lenz in the Library.
