Come on down to the North Gym today right after school for the Homecoming Dodge Ball Tourney!  Come cheer on your class as they try to become the best Dodge Ball team in the school!!  Go LIONS!

Right after Dodge Ball, stay around LHS and watch the girls take on Legend in volleyball and the boys take on Douglas County in soccer!! Boys start at 4 and the girls at 4:30 with the sophomore team.  During halftime of the Soccer game you will have a chance to win some Homecoming Tickets!!  There will be fun Spirit Game during the soccer game--if you participate and win--the tickets are yours!!  Finally, after the soccer game, head back to the gym to watch the Varsity Volleyball game and get another chance to win some Homecoming tickets between games 2 and 3 of the volleyball match. There will be another Spirit Game and the winners will score Homecoming Tickets!  See you at the GYM!! GO LIONS!

Student Council has another way for you to win some Homecoming tickets!  We are doing a Circus Scavenger Hunt!  Listen for the clue, find the visual answer somewhere in the school, take a picture and be among the first 4 people to show it to Ms Prestel in room 209  and your name goes into a drawing for a PAIR of Homecoming tickets.  We are taking 4 winners EACH BLOCK today--do not skip your class or run in the halls, but find the visual answer and go to room 209.  Three winners will be drawn at the Pep Rally on Friday.  The following clue will help you find the circus item and its location:  "the circus would be nothing without my red and white.  Join me and my three rings, in no way out of site.  I'm not foreign or ancient in any way but one. If there was a fire, I'll be where you would run from."

Don't forget, our next spirit day is Wacky Wednesday!!  So, find a fun outfit to wear that is "totally wacked out!"  Plus, Student Council members will be handing out clown noses to make you even wackier!

Hey ladies--it's time to find out who is the best class of girls in the school!  Powder Puff Football is tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon down on the grass soccer fields!  It starts at 2:45 sharp and will end around 3:30.  Please be on time and ready to rumble!  Guys, this is a good chance to come and cheer on your classmates and see some great games!

Wednesday is also the date of one of the BEST HOMECOMING EVENTS AT LHS--the BONFIRE!!  It will start around 7pm out back by the tennis courts.  There will be a bouncy castle, dessert, fun games, speeches by the football players and the Marching Band and cheerleaders getting us all fired up for the big game on Friday!  And it is all FREE!  It will end around 8:15, so make sure you have a ride home planned ahead of time!  See you there!

Class t-shirts are here and will be ready to be picked up TODAY during both lunches, between the lunches and after school in the cafeteria!!  If you have already paid for a shirt, your name will be on a list, if you are not sure if you have paid for one, check the list to find out.  If you have not bought one, they are $5, and you can pay us during the lunches-you do not need to go to the bookkeeper.  They will be available for pickup the rest of this week!

HOMECOMING TICKETS will be on sale during A and B lunches in the cafeteria. The cost is $15 per ticket.  They will be on sale throughout this week during lunches, and also after school on Wednesday and Thursday.  IF you do not buy your ticket ahead of time, that is ok – they are the same price at the door the night of the dance, Sept. 21st.  Bonus – Your Homecoming ticket scores you a free cookie and soda at the DECA store during the dance.

Homecoming Dance Guest forms are available in Student Services. They are due Thursday, September 19th. The Homecoming dance will be held Saturday, September 21st.
