Congratulations to the winners of the Pumpkin Carving Contest!  Scariest:  Kelly Haley, Funniest:  Andy Bredar and Most Creative:  Michael Hoeft.  Their pumpkins are on display in front of the attendance office, go check them out!

Academic Announcements:

Lockheed Martin for math tutoring is here TONIGHT, 6 - 7:30 pm in Room 107. They will not be here tomorrow due to Halloween.

Club Announcements:

Student Council members don’t forget to turn in your Halloween-O-Grams by 2:30pm TODAY to room 209 or to Ms. Prestel's desk in the Social Studies Office.  Remember, if you sold a gram, you must turn it in so we can follow through and get it delivered!  Thanks so much!

FCCLA will have a brief meeting TOMORROW, after school, in room 120.

TSA has a very important meeting TOMORROW - no costume required.  They will be discussing run-offs, getting everyone signed up for their events.  Please come and join us in room 150 starting at 2:20.  Event sign up will close on Friday, Nov. 1st.  If you've been thinking about joining, you need to be at this meeting.  See you in the Tech lab at 2:20 on Thursday.

FBLA members, come to our meeting TOMORROW for some Halloween treats and learn about the tricks for picking your FBLA district competition!  Happy Halloween!

Key clubbers who are planning to attend the trick or treat for cans event tomorrow.  Please put your permission slips in my box by the end of the day today!  Ms. Mashak has extra permission slips at the front desk in the main office if you have lost your.  Directions to the church where we are meeting are not on the Facebook page.

Attention poets, songwriters, and creative writers!  Are you interested in performing some poetry or hearing student poetry?  Come to Solid Grounds this Friday night, 11/1 at 6:30 for an LPS open mic night.  Hear poets from all four high schools share their art at the event, and bring your own words if you want to perform.  The event is free, and will last from 6:30-8:30.  See Mr. Saliman or Mrs. Fisher for more details.

Sport Announcements:

All students who are planning to participate in Winter Sports must register on-line on the Athletic website and ensure the Athletic Dept has a current physical form for you on file, before participating in the sport. Some students have handed in their physical forms but have not yet registered.

If you are interested in wrestling this year there will be an important wrestling meeting TONIGHT after school at 2:15 in room 133W.

Girls basketball players; open gym times are changing for the next two weeks. They will now take place on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:00-7:00 pm.  We encourage interested players to attend, and remind you that tryouts are on November 13.

Special Events:

Our 4th Annual Trick or Trunk Street—is TODAY in the stadium parking lot from 3:30-5:30. 

Costume Contest!!  Student Council is having a Costume Contest TOMORROW and we want the whole school to participate!!  So, get your imaginations going into over drive and think of an amazing costume to wear.  Make sure it is Code of Conduct appropriate and NO full face masks!

All candy in the DECA store will be 25% off until Halloween.  Wear a costume on Halloween, and enjoy 50% off candy!  Happy Halloween from Littleton DECA and Marketing students.

Blog Announcements:

FROM LHS PTO - THANK YOU to everyone that participated in The Stride 2013!  Once again, LHS won the high school $1,000 prize which will go towards our physical education department that encourages good health and wellness for all students.  A special thanks to the LHS Stride Captain, Lisa Maney, and teacher, Terry Banfield, in encouraging people to participate.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated.  WAY TO GO LIONS!!!

A reminder for students planning to participate in the ACC concurrent enrollment program, you MUST fully compete and return the forms handed out at the meeting to Mr. Puchino by the end of the school day on Thursday, Oct. 31.  If you were not able to attend the meeting but are interested in the program, please see Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

Students taking AP courses who are in need of financial assistance should stop by the Counseling Office for information regarding the ESCAPE Grant.  ESCAPE stands for Eliminating Student Cost for Advanced Placement Exams. This is a federal grant program sponsored through the Colorado Department of Education.  There is a Nov. 4 deadline for completed applications to be returned to Counseling.

Sign up for all LHS students for the swim test held at Littleton are in the Counseling Office.  The test is offered on two separate days, Mon., Nov. 11 or Tues., Nov. 12, at 2:30 pm in the LHS pool-DRESSED and ready to swim.  Students must sign up, as space is limited and you must attend the date you sign up for.  The deadline to sign up is Fri., Nov. 8. For further information and a skills criteria sheet, please stop by the Counseling Office. 

Calling all Littleton Public Schools ice hockey players! Tryouts for the Winter CHSAA season are Nov. 13 and 15 at the Ice Ranch in Littleton at 3PM. Visit www.heritagelpshockey.org for details.

If you had your picture taken on Retake Day, your new ID cards are here.  Please see Mrs. Mountfort in the main office to pick yours up.  If you order pictures on Retake Day, the picture order will come to the school the first week of November.
