Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the LHS DECA students who competed at the district 3 DECA event this past Friday. These students competed tremendously well, and 33 students qualified for the State Leadership conference in February.

 Academic Announcements: 

Students please take note of the following updates for schedule adjustments for spring 2014:  All students MUST view and print their schedules prior to coming to counseling to request a schedule change.  Students can come to the Counseling Office during an off-period between 8:00 am - 2:00 pm on their assigned day.  Students who do not have an off-period on their assigned day can schedule an appointment with the counseling secretary or registrar. Complete information regarding schedule adjustments is available in the counseling office or on the LHS website.  The following are the specified dates by grade level:
Seniors:  Thurs., Nov. 21, Nov. 22 and Dec. 2
Juniors:  Dec. 3
Sophomores:  Dec. 4
Freshmen:  Dec. 5
Make-up day, all grade levels:  Dec. 6

Ms. Anthamatten's 5th period advisement class.  Don't forget we are meeting at 11:07 in the forum today to go to the International Week presentation.  See you there!

There will be a Study Abroad and Culture Fair on Wednesday, November 20th in the cafeteria between 6 and 8 pm as part of International Week.  See you there!

Club Announcements:

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members; we have a General Council meeting TODAY at 2:20 in the forum. Remember, you are excused from your Winter sport practices until 3pm on Mondays and Thursdays to attend club meetings--so please come to our meeting!

Students, FCA will be having their last meeting of this semester after TODAY.  We'll meet at 2:30 in Room 102.

Key Clubbers!  Don't forget we are meeting in the counseling office after school TODAY to help assemble food baskets.  Please come if you can!

As an effort during and after International Week the World Club is attempting to raise money to assist The Colorado Flood Relief Project, Orphan Care which assists children in need in Thailand, and Child Fund International which is helping to assist victims of the typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Collection boxes will be placed in the Forum and Library during International Education Week. Any assistance is much appreciated

FBLA members -- you are invited to come room 124 this Thursday, November 21 after school.  Mrs. Martin and your officer team will be available to help you begin to prepare for your district events.  See you then!

Lions, if you are interested in helping to plan and organize the 2014 lip dub, come to room 124 this Wednesday after school to meet with Mr. Decker to let him know you would like to help.  Lets make sure the 2014 lip dub is even better than last years!

Attention Seniors! If you are applying to colleges, remember that you will need to make your transcript requests IMMEDIATELY!  If you have a deadline of or December 1st, you are already late! Keep in mind that our first day back to school following Thanksgiving break will be December 2nd.  Don't miss your deadlines!
