Today is an EVEN Period Day – Periods 2.4.6.8

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The LHS Lady Lionfish lost their meet to ThunderRidge yesterday, 125-61.  The Lady Fish junior varsity defeated the ThunderRidge JV, 101-81.  Next up is Ponderosa next Thursday in our pool.

Varsity lost last night’s dual to Chapparel. Poe Di started off the meet with a 10-6 victory.  JV wrestled very well getting victories from Alredo Ocon twice, Ryan Hisamoto, Ryan Prazak, and Arturo Mejia.

 Academic Announcements: 

Seniors- Your mid-year transcripts will automatically be sent to the colleges to which you have applied in January. You do not need to see the registrar to request them.

Students who took the PSAT (Practice SAT), or the practice ACT tests:  PLAN, Explore or ACT, and have not yet picked up their test results should do this week in the Counseling Office. Students can only pick up their own test scores. Thank you!

Attention Seniors who are applying to college!  If you have a January 1st or January 15th application deadline, you MUST request and pay for your transcripts no later than Monday, December 16th. Remember, no one will be processing transcripts here at school over the holiday break!

Sport Announcements:

Girls Basketball has their 2nd annual "Mane Event" Tournament continues through Saturday. Come cheer on your varsity and JV Lions!

The Littleton wrestling team is looking for wrestlers at all weights for both JV and Varsity.  In particular we are looking for the following weights 106, 113, 182, 195 and 220.  If you want to work hard and learn some cool moves talk to coach Burton or coach Swanson.

Special Events:

All Students, The time is running out to purchase a yearbook!!  You can order your yearbook through the book keeper.  Don't be left out!   The deadline to purchase is TOMORROW.

Blog Announcements:

The Counseling Department is helping students and families in need during the Christmas holidays by providing families with gift cards to one of the following stores: King Soopers, Safeway, Target and Walmart.  If you would like to make a donation please bring gift cards (please indicate the dollar amount for each card) to the Counseling Department by December 13, 2013. Thank you!

Get your snowflake from the Giving Snowman for Musana Children’s Home in Uganda and for the Samaritan House in Denver.  All you have to do is take the snowflake home, look at the suggested gifts on the back of the snowflake then bring your gift back to school and put it in the Social Studies office by Ms Prestel's desk by Dec. 20th!  BUT, you had better hurry--the snowflakes go fast!!

The LHS Women’s Ensemble Choir is accepting new and good used blankets which will be donated to the Denver Rescue Mission.  Please bring your blanket donations to the Choir Room or give them to a member of the Women’s Ensemble Choir.  Donations will be accepted through Monday, December 16th, and then delivered to the Denver Rescue Mission during Finals Week.
