Special Events:


Winter Dance is just around the corner--Sat. Feb. 2!!  Hurry and think of whom you are going to ask and how you are going to dress up for our spirit days next week!!  The theme this year is "Travel Through Time.'  Spirit Days will reflect the different decades of time: Monday is 50's Day, Tues is 60's Day, Wed. is 70's Day and Thurs. is 80's Day.  Friday Feb. 1 wear your Class T-shirts to show off your LION PRIDE at the Pep Rally!!  Tickets for the dance go on sale next Tuesday the 29th and are only $8.00!  Look around the school for a chance at some discounts on your ticket price.  See you at the DANCE!

Guest forms for the "Winter Dance” on Saturday, February 2, 2013, are available at Student Services. They will be due by Thursday, January 31, 2013.

Other Announcements:

Students new to LHS are invited to please join the LHS Peer Counselors for a brown bag (bring your own) luncheon today during A or B lunch in the Counseling Conference Room.  This is a great opportunity to meet new friends!   If you have questions, please see Mrs. Zerr in the Counseling Office. 

Students:  Just a friendly reminder today is the deadline to submit your design to Mr. Hahn in the Counseling office for the logo for Littleton High School’s own clothes bank, The Lion’s Cupboard.  Designs will be judged by the Counseling Department and the winner will be announced next week.

Artisans wanted for the Littleton High School Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair March 16, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendor information and applications are available at our website www.lhsperformingarts.net. Also wanted: male or female prom attire needed for upcoming fundraiser. Contact Angel at 303-794-5572. One of our craft fair booths will be prom attire available for purchase.

Hey, y’all!  The Stock Show isn’t the only rodeo in town. Plan to attend Februaryfest on Friday, February 1st at Glenmoor Country Club.  Throw on your most comfortable western gear, join us for a great dinner and support our deserving sports teams.  Reserve your spot now and send in your check for $25 to the LHS Booster Club by January 28th.  Last year’s party was a hoot and you won’t want to miss a hollerin’ good time! Key Club...there is a meeting today at 2:20 in room 126.  We will be planning for our next project:  making Valentine cards for Children's Hospital. Bring friends!

 
Greetings Philosophers:  Philosophy Club meets today and every Thursday after school in Room 103.  Come on by today for a morality exercise.  Come prepared to argue your point of view.  See you today after school.

A big "way to go" goes out to our Unified Basketball team who beat Heritage last night 74-58.  Way to go Lions you make us proud.  Our next game is home on Jan 28th at 7.  Come cheer us to victory.

Attention all LHS Juniors!  The Littleton High School Counseling Department and Post Grad Center is hosting our annual official kick off to the college application process.  "College Information Night" will be held tonight, January 23rd, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the theatre, and will include general information as well as breakout sessions on variety of college-related topics including preparing for college entrance exams, paying for college, building your college list, the NCAA Clearinghouse process, inside the admissions process and more.  You don't want to miss this exciting and informative evening at school.

Sport Announcements:

 

Littleton's boys basketball program suffered convincing losses at all three levels last night to arch rival Regis. The varsity had a strong first half but came up short in the end.  We play Mountain Vista on Friday night here in our gym.

 

The LHS Lady Lionfish lost a very close meet to Rock Canyon yesterday, 94-92. Congratulations to the 200 free relay composed of Claire Tronrud, Maddie Montgomery, Morgan Zueger, and Claire Martin for qualifying the relay for the State Meet.
