Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the Lion Ultimate open team on their 10-8 win over Colorado Academy on Thursday.  Check out more Ultimate action as the girls' team plays a round-robin here on Saturday from 10-3.  The open team takes on Columbine here on Monday.

In a closely contested match with Ponderosa last night at LHS, the varsity girls tennis team lost 4 to 3.  Congratulations to our 3 and 4 doubles teams and 2 singles for their impressive wins.  We take on Douglas County HS today in a rescheduled match due to the rain-out on Tuesday.

Academic Announcements:

Junior Meetings in Post Grad:  The Post Grad Center is inviting juniors to small-group meetings during an off hour to learn the Naviance process for searching for schools that might be a good match. Our invitations are delivered to students in their classrooms 1-2 days prior to their meetings. Teachers with juniors in their classrooms: Thank You for your patience as Post Grad Staff and student assistants deliver these notes over the next few weeks.

Attention current 10th and 11th graders - Do you want to make a difference at LHS? Do you like helping others succeed? Are you a leader?  If so, sign up to become an Advisement Leader for the 2013-14 school year!  The application forms can be found in the main office and counseling office.  Once you have filled them out, return them to the boxes in those same offices.  Sign up now and help make LHS be the best school around!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congrats to the girl's JV soccer team who won 9-0 yesterday over Conifer. Eleven different players contributed goals and assists, including 4 header goals and a hat trick from Samantha Sanson. Way to go LIONS!! !

Last year we worked on beautifying the library… this year we’re working on the cafeteria…If you have any green silk plants you’d like to donate to LHS, the “Green Thumb” team will be tackling the cafeteria planters this spring. As you do your spring cleaning over the next few months, any greenery you don’t need any more can be used for our project. Bring to Therese in the main office, and we will put your “used” green silk plants to good use! Thanks in advance for helping with the cafeteria project. Questions?
