Today is ALL Period Day – Periods 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to our girls C and Varsity teams who each registered wins over Douglas County last night. Sarah Fee scored 13 points for our varsity squad and Laura Puchino added 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 steals in our 11th win of the season!  Be sure to come out and support our Lions on Saturday night vs. Arapahoe, here at LHS!

The Counseling Department and the Peer Counselors would like to thank everyone who partook in the Penny War.  Between students and staff we collected nearly $200.  All proceeds will go towards the Second Wind Fund.
Juniors led the way collecting the most money, but Seniors were the winners of the Penny War and the Sophomores were the runner-ups.  Because these two classes won the Penny War one raffle ticket from each of these classes has been picked at random.  Please listen for your # today and tomorrow.  If your number is called please bring your raffle ticket to Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to redeem your prize.
The winning senior raffle ticket number is 839058.
The winning sophomore raffle ticket number is 839038.

Academic Announcements:

Each week, the Writing Center will be featuring one of its peer tutors. The featured tutor will bring their favorite tea to share with those who stop in the Center. This week's featured tutor is Liz Patton. To find out more about Liz, go to the LHS Writing Center Facebook page, and to try one of her favorite teas, stop in the Writing Center today and Friday.

Princeton Review is offering an opportunity for sophomores and juniors to take a FREE, full-length, proctored ACT test at Rock Canyon High School on Saturday February 22nd.  Students will receive a free report breaking down their scores. This is an ideal way to prepare for the statewide ACT test which all Juniors are required to take here at school in April.  Check the Princeton Review website for details about registering for the test.  There are a limited number of seats available.

An admissions representative from Johnson & Wales University will be at our school on Friday at 1 p.m. to meet with students in the Post Grad Center.  Sign up on Naviance, or come to the Post Grad Center for more information.
