Thanks to our generous staff and community our Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday break food baskets and gift cards were a huge success serving more than 50 LHS families in need. These items allow families that are experiencing financial difficulties the opportunity to provide for their families, and they truly make a difference in their lives. LHS is planning on continuing this tradition for Spring Break by serving approximately 50 families with gift cards in the denomination of between $10 and $50 to places such as King Soopers, Safeway, Albertsons, Wal-Mart, and Target. We would like to serve as many families as we have requests for, but we could be limited based on the donations received.  Individuals who would like to make a donation can drop-off gift cards (i.e., King Soopers/Safeway/Albertsons/Target, Wal-Mart, etc...) at anytime. However, the sooner the better as it will help allow the Counseling Department to know how many families we can best serve.

LHS Instrumental Music Concert is March 18th, we will be featuring all of the LHS Instrumental Music Performing Ensembles - Symphonic Winds, Orchestra and Jazz Ensembles.  One of our featured pieces that evening is the full Symphony Orchestra performance of the Danzon No. 2 by Marquez.  The Symphonic Winds will also present a new piece titled J.S. Jig that features the music of Johann Sebastian Bach set in a very contemporary way for band.  The Jazz Ensembles will perform a feature piece titled ShowTime! that showcases every section of the Jazz Ensemble. Concert is at 7pm on Tuesday, March 18th in the Theater and admission is FREE!
