Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Strong work by the girl's JV soccer team for their 2-1 win yesterday over Castleview. Big saves from Sammy Leach and goals from Maddie Diaz and Carlisle Manley.

Academic Announcements: 

Attention Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman!  TODAY, Mr. Farrell will begin holding auditions for the 2014-15 select choirs.  Audition times are listed on the Choir bulletin board outside the Choir room and will take place through Friday, April 11th.

All LHS Students, now is the time to audition for the LHS Instrumental Music Program.  Come see Mr. Emmons in the Band Room to sign-up for auditions for Jazz Ensemble and to talk with him about being in the LHS Band and Orchestra program.  Be part of the "Lion Pride" Band and Orchestra!!

JUNIORS:  MANDATORY ACT Pre-test bubbling this Thursday, April 3 and Friday April 4 during World History and IB Euro classes.  All juniors must first check into their class for attendance, and then go to the Forum. Any junior who does not have a World History or IB Euro class, should plan to come to the Forum during an off period, AT THE START of the period, on either of these days.  Questions, please stop by the counseling office.

On Thursday, a college representative from the Art Institute of Colorado will be in the Counseling Office at 9:30.  Drop by Post Grad if you need a pass.

Attention sophomores who are starting the IB Diploma Program next year: you have a MANDATORY meeting at 7 pm  Monday, April 7, to learn about the CAS requirements for IB. We will explain the Creativity, Action and Service program, and give you lots of ideas for projects. Your parents should come, too. See you in the Forum at 7 pm Monday!

Special Events:

Students it is time for the 2014 LIP DUB!!!  We will be filming on April 23rd after school, 3 weeks from this Wednesday.  Get your club, activity or sport to sign up ASAP, and reserve your spot.  Sign up sheets are on the cafeteria windows, and turn them in to Mr. Decker in room 127.

Other Announcements:

The DECA store will now be open from 8:30AM to 10:00 AM each day for LHS students to shop.  This will be the only times to get your tasty DECA store treats.

Club Announcements: 

The World Club will meet at 2:20pm in Room 206 TODAY.

The Model United Nations Club will meet in Room 206 at 2:20pm this Thursday. This is a crucial meeting for all club members who are participating in the April 12th Denver University Model UN Conference.

DECA students - there is a club meeting after school on Thursday.  Please see Mr. Decker for details

Hi Keyclubbers!  Just a reminder that our fundraiser for the Women's Bean Project is ongoing and all orders are due at our next meeting on April 10th.  If you would like to participate, but did not get an order form, come by and see Ms. Anthamatten in the Foreign Language office during lunches tomorrow or Thursday.

FBLA members - we have a meeting on Thursday, April 3 at 2:20 pm in room 124.  We will be making posters for the Shred-A-Thon.  See you then!

Blog Announcements:

The LPS Summer School brochures are available for pickup in the Counseling Office.  Students MUST fully complete the application and get their counselor's signature and return directly to Arapahoe Community College with payment beginning April 7.  Please see your counselor with questions.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 10 a.m. in the LHS Admin. Conference Room. Final After-Prom details will be discussed and Dr. Oaks will update us on LHS happenings.  Committee Chair and Faculty reports will be given.  If you are interested in getting involved in your student's school, this will be a great meeting for you to attend as we discuss a few PTO roster openings for the 2014-2015 school year.  Refreshments will be provided.  Hope to see you there!

Junior/Senior After-Prom Party / April 26-27, 2014 / Get Involved!  
After-Prom is right around the corner and the After-Prom planning is underway. After-Prom provides a safe and secure place for students to hang out after the Prom has ended. All juniors and seniors are invited to attend, regardless of whether they go to Prom or not.

You can help by making a monetary contribution:
After-Prom Party is filled with fun activities including unlimited bowling, laser tag, and billiards. Food and beverages will also be included in the very reasonable admission price ($10). The cost of this event is approximately $10,000 the After-Prom committee is seeking contributions from families and area businesses. Contributions, payable to LHS PTO After-Prom may be sent to LHS PTO After-Prom, Littleton High School 199 E Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80121.
