Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to your LION ULTIMATE teams who both defeated Jeff-co Open School yesterday. The girls won decisively 10-3 and the guys won an intense game 8-7.

Special Events:

Want to support your Senior Thespians on their final high school play? Come see "Lend Me A Tenor", presented by the Senior Theatre Company of 2014. Performances are Thursday at 7pm and Friday at 6pm, in the LHS Mane Stage Theatre.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.  See you there!

Other Announcements:

Attention Seniors!  Anyone interested in designing the Senior Class tee-shirt this year needs to submit designs to Mrs. Gobble by Wednesday, April 16th.  Design requirements are posted on the Senior Student Council Bulletin Board.

PROM is just around the corner, so bring your ticket money starting Monday April 14th!!  Tickets will be sold out of the bookkeeper’s office during BOTH lunches.  The price is $40 for all Juniors and non-LHS students.  All seniors are FREE!

Prom invitations were personally delivered to all juniors and seniors this past Monday and Tuesday; if you were absent either of those days, please go to the main office and pick up your invitation.  The invitation tells the location, the theme and the time of PROM--plus they are a good souvenir of this awesome event!

“Prom Guest Forms" are available in the student services and main offices. They are due Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Students, as the weather warms up, please remember that strapless shirts and dresses are not allowed. Please make sure that all of your tops and dresses have straps.  Thank you and enjoy the warmer weather.

Academic Announcements: 

Attention all current Sophomores and Juniors, we need YOU to sign up to be an Advisement Leader!!  We have extended the due date of the application until April 25th, so if you are interested in being a Leader, then go online to the LHS website and fill out an application as soon as you can!!  Being a Leader in the Advisement program will earn you 2 elective credits, CAS hours and a chance to make a difference in an incoming Freshman's life.  So, sign up today!!

Sport Announcements:

There will be an important Boys soccer meeting for players only TODAY at 2:45pm in the Forum for all boys interested in playing soccer in the upcoming season in the fall. Information will be given about camps, pre-season, and season activities.

Club Announcements: 

The World Club will meet in room 206 at 2:20 pm TODAY.

Key Clubbers!  Don't forget bean project sales are due this Thursday.  Bring your order form and money to our meeting in room 211 after school.  See you there!

Attention all students who competed on the Speech and Debate team this year-: we will have a brief meeting in the Speech Room after school at 2:20 THIS FRIDAY.  We will distribute information about the banquet and the Speech Team Hall of Fame.  Please be there!

Blog Announcements:

This Friday GSA is facilitating participation in Day of Silence 2014. If you want to participate contact any art teacher so that your name can be added to the list of students who will stay silent throughout Friday.

Lockheed Martin tutors are here on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.

The Writing Center is open weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-2:30 in the Library.

The DECA store will now be open from 8:30AM to 10:00 AM each day for LHS students to shop.  This will be the only times to get your tasty DECA store treats.

Attention Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman!  Auditions for the 2014-15 select choirs will take place through Friday, April 11th.  Audition times are listed on the Choir bulletin board outside the Choir room.  See Mr. Farrell if you have any questions.

All LHS Students, be part of the "Lion Pride" Band and Orchestra!!  Audition for the LHS Instrumental Music Program are currently happening.  Come see Mr. Emmons in the Band Room to sign-up for auditions for Jazz Ensemble and to talk with him about being in the LHS Band and Orchestra program.

Students it is time for the 2014 LIP DUB!!!  We will be filming on April 23rd after school.  Get your club, activity or sport to sign up ASAP, and reserve your spot.  Sign up sheets are on the cafeteria windows, and turn them in to Mr. Decker in room 127.
