Congratulations to the Girls' varsity soccer team on their hard fought one nil victory over Chaparral last night. Emily Bell scored the goal and keeper Shayna Watkins preserved the shutout. Well done ladies!

Academic Announcements: 

Attention Seniors!  Please stop by Post Grad to let us know what your plans are for next year.  We are working on the Senior Bulletin board and want to include your photo and what you'll be doing next fall. We're here every day except Wednesdays.

Attention Seniors! For those of you who have not yet submitted photos for the senior slide show, please do so. Photos can be from any school activity over the past 4 years. All photos must be submitted to Stacey Zuppa by May 3rd- this Saturday. For info on how to submit photos please see the senior bulletin board in Language Arts Hall.

Special Events:

Come see our 2014 Choir "Pops" Concert this Thursday & Friday, featuring 70s funk and hits from the Grease soundtrack, among other great pop tunes! Performances start at 7pm both nights. Tired of trying to talk on your phone when it's attached 3 feet from the wall? Need another cord, or plug to charge your phone?  Then come see a TSA representative on Thursday and Friday in the senior hall.  They are taking orders for phone chargers for Iphone 4,& 5 and android phones.  They are $12 for a cord, and $5 for an plug or 12 v plug.  Come support TSA for Nationals and get further than 3 feet from a wall outlet.

STUDENT COUNCIL WANTS YOU!!  Do you want to be a part of a high energy, school improving, fun loving group?  Well, then, Student Council is for you! Pick up an election packet from the main office or from Ms Prestel up in the Social Studies department and get ready to join the most enthusiastic club in the school!!

Sports Announcements:

Come to the stadium tomorrow night to support our Boys Lacrosse team as they take on Douglas County. Game time is 5:30 pm.  It’s Senior Night and our Senior players will be presented at half time.  See you there!

If you got your picture taken at Prom, look for a website link on our LHS Webpage coming in about 2 weeks. You can go onto the website and choose what pictures you want to order and find out prices as well. It will also be put onto the senior and junior Facebook pages.

Cover Art Contest for 2014-2015 Date Planners, Lions Lore & more.  We are looking for creative LHS artwork to be featured on the cover of our LHS materials next year.  Anyone interested needs to submit designs by Wednesday, May 7th to Dr. Shadwell.  Design requirements are posted in the main office.

ATTENTION SENIOR IB STUDENTS:  Please join us Sunday May 18th for the annual IB Senior Picnic. It will be held at Stern Park in Littleton from 12 noon - 3pm.  The cost is just $5 per person. The IB Memory book is an additional $15.00.  Invitations and rsvp's have been emailed to you and your parents.  If you have not received this information extra forms will be in the IB office.  RSVP'S ARE DUE NO LATER THAN THIS FRIDAY, MAY 2nd. Days of Remembrance 2014 - Two special events will be taking place in the LHS Forum, on Monday and Tuesday next week, as we remember the painful lessons of the Holocaust and take heart in our common humanity.

  • “I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust"  48 minutes; Little-known victims of the Holocaust bear witness through their war-time diaries, sharing messages of hope amidst destruction.

The Writing Center is open weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-2:30 in the Library.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Students, please note that the price of the school breakfast and school lunch will increase on Thursday, May 1st.  This is due to a federal mandate; we are mandated to increase the price.  Breakfast will cost $1.75, Lunch will increase to $3.00.
