Today is an ODD Period Day – Periods 1.3.5.7

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

FCCLA members competed at State last week along with 1,100 students from across the state of Colorado.  Please congratulate Kalie (Kay-lee) Xue (shu), for receiving a silver medal in Recycle Redesign.

Congrats to the Boys and Girls Track Teams who competed at the Littleton City Championships Track Meet over the weekend.  Boys finished in 3rd only a 1/2 point out of 2nd Place.

Congratulations to the Boys JV and Varsity Lacrosse teams for their victories against Prairie View this weekend.    Both teams take on Heritage on Wednesday.  Come out to support the teams!

Academic Announcements: 

Attention sophomores who are starting the IB Diploma Program next year: you have a MANDATORY meeting at 7 pm TONIGHT, to learn about the CAS requirements for IB. We will explain the Creativity, Action and Service program, and give you lots of ideas for projects. Your parents should come, too.  See you in the Forum at 7 pm this evening!

Any juniors who did NOT pre-bubble for the ACT last week, MUST attend the make-up session today at the beginning of 7th hour.  If you have a 7th period class, you should plan to go directly to the Forum, not the classroom, where attendance will be taken.  If you do not have a 7th period class, you must still be in the Forum at the start of 7th period.  This will take the entire class period.  Thank you!

Today at 9:30, a representative from Texas Christian University will be in the Post Grad Center, followed by a rep from Elon University - one of the 40 colleges that change lives - at 10.

On Tuesday, a representative from the University of California San Diego will meet with students at 1:30 in the Post Grad Center. Sign up in Post Grad to attend.

Club Announcements: 

Attention all student Council Officers, Ambassadors and General Council members we have a Student Council General Council meeting TODAY in the Forum.  We need you all there because we need to talk about the LHS LIP DUB!!  Plus there will treats!!

“Prom Guest Forms" are available in the student services and main offices. They are due Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Special Events:

This Friday GSA is facilitating participation in Day of Silence 2014. Day of Silence is a day where students voluntarily stay silent to raise awareness of the bullying and harassment faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.  If you want to participate contact any art teacher so that your name can be added to the list of students who will stay silent throughout Friday.

Sport Announcements:

There will be an important Boys soccer meeting for players only on Wednesday April, 9th at 2:45pm in the Forum for all boys interested in playing soccer in the upcoming season in the fall. Information will be given about camps, pre-season, and season activities.

Girls Basketball will be holding a quick meeting regarding summer basketball this Tuesday at 2;20 in room 133E.  Summer basketball opportunities will be discussed and sign up forms will be distributed.  All girls basketball players should plan on attending.

Blog Announcements:

Hi Keyclubbers!  Just a reminder that our fundraiser for the Women's Bean Project is ongoing and all orders are due at our next meeting on April 10th.  See Ms. Anthamatten if you have any questions.

The DECA store will now be open from 8:30AM to 10:00 AM each day for LHS students to shop.  This will be the only times to get your tasty DECA store treats.

Attention Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman!  Auditions for the 2014-15 select choirs will take place through Friday, April 11th.  Audition times are listed on the Choir bulletin board outside the Choir room. See Mr. Farrell if you have any questions.

All LHS Students, be part of the "Lion Pride" Band and Orchestra!!  Audition for the LHS Instrumental Music Program are currently happening.  Come see Mr. Emmons in the Band Room to sign-up for auditions for Jazz Ensemble and to talk with him about being in the LHS Band and Orchestra program.

Students it is time for the 2014 LIP DUB!!!  We will be filming on April 23rd after school.  Get your club, activity or sport to sign up ASAP, and reserve your spot.  Sign up sheets are on the cafeteria windows, and turn them in to Mr. Decker in room 127.

Junior/Senior After-Prom Party / April 26-27, 2014 / Get Involved!  
After-Prom is right around the corner and the After-Prom planning is underway. After-Prom provides a safe and secure place for students to hang out after Prom has ended. All juniors and seniors are invited to attend, regardless of whether they go to Prom or not.

You can help by making a monetary contribution:
After-Prom Party is filled with fun activities including unlimited bowling, laser tag, and billiards. Food and beverages will also be included in the very reasonable admission price ($10). The cost of this event is approximately $10,000.  Tthe After-Prom committee is seeking contributions from families and area businesses. Contributions, payable to LHS PTO After-Prom, may be sent to LHS PTO After-Prom, Littleton High School 199 E Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80121.
