Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

CONGRATULATIONS to the new Student Council officers for the 2014-15 school year!  Class of 2015 President is Jennifer Trigg, Vice President-Jackie Rivas. Class of 2016 President is Chloe Cassio, Vice President-Eric Hanson and two Public Relations Officers, Elizabeth and Samantha Sanson.  The Class of 2017 President is Andy Bredar, Vice President-Grant Bowman and Public Relations Officers-Lauren Nickell and Emily Sanders.

Congratulations to FBLA members who competed at the state FBLA conference in Vail.  Littleton FBLA was represented by 28 students, 12 of which qualified for finals and placed in the top 5 in their events.  The National FBLA conference will be this June in Nashville, Tennessee and Littleton FBLA will be sending Caroline Kern-Allely, Adrian Caro, and Gina Tolley.  Good luck in Nashville and well done FBLA!

Academic Announcements: 

Attention Future AP US History Students: if you are currently enrolled and/or planning on taking AP US History next year, you have MANDATORY summer work. Please pick up in the Social Studies office by the end of this week.

Sports Announcements:

Reminder Track athletes: Uniform check in is TODAY from 2:30-3:00 for all that are finished competing.

All young men interested in playing tennis next fall should come to a very brief informational meeting this Thursday, immediately after school in room 121.  See Coach Zolla for details.

Special Events:

The DECA store is having a year-end blowout sale, everything must go!  All items are buy one get one free from 8:30 to 10:00 each day.  Stock up early before it is all gone!

Club Announcements: 

If you are interested in joining DECA next year, there is an informational meeting this Thursday in room 125 at 2:20.  Sign up for the DECA summer social and find out what DECA is all about.  See you there!

FCCLA will have its last meeting of the year this Thursday in room 120, right after school.

If anyone is interested in being and Ambassador for Student Council, see Ms. Prestel and pick up a sign.

Other Announcements: 

Yearbooks can be picked up or purchased at the bookkeeper’s office before school and after school or during A and B lunch.  The bookkeeper will not be able to distribute books during the school day.  All name plates can be picked up from Mrs. Fisher in room 111. Thank you.

Students, ALL Library materials are due back this Friday, May 16th! Please return books by Friday to avoid fines!

Attention ALL SENIORS!  Your Senior t-shirts will be available for pick up on TODAY starting at 1pm and also on Wed. May 14th starting at 1:45pm. They will be in the senior hall and are free, compliments of Student Council. They were designed by your fellow senior Will Paton and they look GREAT!!

The final day to purchase Raffle tickets for the amazing Quilt on display in the library is Wednesday May 14th!  Please see Ms Prestel or any Student Council member for a ticket--and win this fabulous LHS memento!

Blog Announcements:

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Attention Seniors!  Please stop by Post Grad to let us know what your plans are for next year.  We are working on the Senior Bulletin board and want to include your photo and what you'll be doing next fall. We're here every day except Wednesdays.

Save the Date for the last PTO meeting of this school year.  It will be Wednesday, May 14, 9:30 a.m. in the LHS Administrative Conference Room.  We will be voting in our new PTO Executive Board and introducing all new Committee Chairpersons for the 2014-2015 school year.  The meeting will be followed by a brunch, social time, and passing of information/notebooks to the new Chairpersons.  Hope to see you there! It's great to be involved at LHS!

A big congratulation goes to both Sophia Yakovlieva and Mira Fakhrideen.  Sophia and Mira are exchange students from Ukraine and Lebanon, and they are part of the World Link exchange organization and the US Department of State.  Throughout their exchange year they have competed in contests and completed projects, and both students were picked as top 10 overall World Link students of the year.  Mira and Sophia were the only students in Colorado to achieve this honor.
