Today is an EIGHT Period Day – Periods 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the boys tennis team. Their victory over Conifer yesterday raised their league record to 7 - 1. Stars of the match were freshman Zack Fox and JV alternate sophomore Charles Doremieux who won their 2-doubles match in a thrilling 3rd set tiebreaker. The team heads to Valor today for the completion of a match delayed due to rain.

Congratulations to the LHS volleyball program. Sophomore, JV and Varsity teams won their match against the visiting Conifer Lobos. The varsity team won 3 games to 1. Running the offense was sophmore setter, Emma Parkhurst, who dished out 31 assists. The leading scorer was senior captian, Kathryn Gerken with 10 kills and sophomore Mallory Burbage, added 9 kills on the night. Rachel Pearson and Emma Capri, lead the defense with 15 and 14 digs respectively. Congratulations ladies!!

The Lions Cross Country team made LHS proud at our own very wet and muddy invitational yesterday.  The girls team splashed its way to the third-place trophy out of 21 schools, led by Addi Iken, who was fourth, and Magda van Leeuwen ninth.  The boys team got a soaking-wet fourth-place out of 25 teams, with Bruce Barnstable in seventh, Colin Cannon in 10th, and Tommy Kail in 13th. Awesome job, Lions!

The JV soccer team defeated Golden 4 to 0 yesterday. This is the team's third shutout victory in a row and their 7th of the season.
