Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

Congratulations to the Girls volleyball program who swept the visiting Wheat Ridge farmers last night at home! All four teams: Freshman, Sophomore, JV, and Varsity teams won all games for the night! The Varsity team won 25-9, 25-17, and 25-14. Sr, Savannah Kirby and Jr, Mikalen Cox rallied for 9 kills apiece. The teams finish up their regular season match tomorrow night at Standley Lake High School. Congratulations and good luck ladies!

Great job Ice Cream Dream Team on beating Jeff-co Open School 12 - 4. Both of your Lion Ultimate teams will play on Saturday at Heritage between 10 and 2:30.

Congratulations to the JV soccer team on their 4 to 0 win over Standley Lake yesterday. Juan Chavira and Manny Cooke each had a goal and an assist in the victory. The JV team went undefeated in league play to capture their second league title in a row. Way to go JV soccer!

Varsity Boys Soccer complete in the State playoffs TONIGHT!  We will host Mesa Ridge at 7pm here at the Stadium.  Because this is a playoff game, no passes will be accepted.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for general admission.   Come out to support our team and GO LIONS!

Special Events:

Don’t forget to sign up for THE STRIDE happening Sunday, October 26.  Littleton High School has received $1,000 three years in a row for the most high school participants.  Let’s continue the winning streak.  Everyone is invited to participate!! Sign-up and we will see you on Sunday!

Halloween is just around the corner and we want you to have a super time, so....find a Student Council member and buy a friend a Halloween O Gram!  They are only $1. All the profits go to the Musana School that LHS supports in Uganda, Africa.

Sports Announcements:

All interested partners for unified basketball please come to a brief meeting TONIGHT at 2:30 in room 105.  We will be handing out important papers for partners to fill out in order to participate.

Very important Boys Basketball Informational Meeting: Thursday, October 23rd in the North Gym at 2:30, for all interested players and managers.

Club Announcements:

Inspire-Lions, the literary magazine staff, will meet TODAY after school in room 112 to finalize the first issue. See you at 2:20.

Key Club will meet in room 211 this Thursday October 23rd at 2.20 p.m.  Please bring permission slips and paperwork for the Colorado Feeding Kids event and the Trick or Treat for Cans event to the meeting or put them in Ms. Anthamatten's mailbox by the end of the day on Thursday.

Speech and Debate team members are reminded of their practices this week, as well as our team meeting Friday after school in the Speech Room.

Academic Announcements: 

Juniors & Seniors:  Please return all Concurrent Enrollment paperwork to Mr. Puchino by the end of the school day TODAY.

Attention Freshman, Sophomore, & Juniors – the Swim test sign-up sheet is in the Counseling office. Swim test dates are Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th.  The classes are limited to the first 30 students per session.

Three admissions representatives will be visiting our school on Thursday: At 9 a.m., CU-Boulder will be in the Forum; at 10, Luther College in Iowa will be in the Counseling Office; and at 10:30, George Mason University in Virginia will be in the Counseling Office.

Blog Announcements:

Have you completed Introduction to Computer Science and are looking for the next programming class that we have to offer? We are excited to offer Computer Science II starting in January.  The course will by taught by Ms. Montoya and is open to any student who has completed the Intro course. If you are interested in this class, please see your counselor at once so that we can enroll you and make any necessary schedule adjustments.

Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors, if you missed the Academic Awards reception on Monday evening, please go to the main office pick up your award packet!

Attention all Technology Student Association members - we will meet on Oct. 30th since we don't have school on the 3rd Thursday this month.  Oct. 30th is the last day to sign up for events before runoffs are determined for Nov. 6th.  If you haven't paid your dues, please do so ASAP and get signed up for your events.

Attention all boys lacrosse players: if you are interested in playing lacrosse in the spring, you have a very important meeting for you and your parents on Wed. Oct. 29th in the Forum at 6 pm.  See you there!

THE STRIDE is a community 5K and 10K running and walking event coming on Sunday, October 26. It is organized by the Littleton Foundation to raise money for our schools, and financial awards are given to the schools that have the most participants. Last year LHS beat out Heritage and Arapahoe and we received one thousand dollars for our school. We want to win again this year and we need your help. You can sign up for THE STRIDE online through our school webpage. You can also get a registration form from the counseling office, the main school office, or any of the PE teachers. Get your registrations in now and help LHS win again!
