Today is an ODD Period Day – 1.3.5.7.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

If you were able to come out on Friday or Saturday night to see lions follies, you saw quite a show. It is clear we have a lot of talent here at our school. The winners of the 2014 lions follies are:

For best musical act, Alie Watson with her original song Paper Towns
For best skit, the sophomore skit won
And for the best overall skit, Duncan Britt and Eric Mascolo won with their original song, Not a Song. If you remember from last year, Duncan won then too, and this year on his birthday.

Thank you to everyone who performed, who came to support us, and all of the students and teachers who helped to put on such a fun night and a unique LHS tradition

For guessing how many gumballs were in the jar, Ciara (Kiara) Henderson and James Zieper tied, so both will receive $25 for winning.  Ciara and James should see Ms. Prestel for their $25 prize. Nice work.

Congratulations to the LHS Speech and Debate team, who finished 6th out of 26 schools at the Chatfield Invitational.  Leading the way were Lucy Haggard, 4th in Humor, Imani Fanga, 4th in Poetry, Sam Burke, 3rd in Poetry, and David Levine and Eli Schwanitz, 2nd in Policy Debate.
