Congratulations to senior Meredith Maney, who finished 4th in the state of Colorado at the State Speech and Debate Tournament over spring break.

Academic Announcements: 

JUNIORS:  MANDATORY ACT Pre-test bubbling will happen TODAY during World History and IB Euro classes.  All juniors must first check into their class for attendance, and then go to the Forum. Any junior who does not have a World History or IB Euro class, should plan to come to the Forum during an off period, AT THE START of the period, on either of these days.  Questions, please stop by the counseling office.

On Monday and Tuesday we have 3 colleges visiting at Littleton to talk to any interested students.  At 9:30 Monday, a representative from Texas Christian University will be in the Post Grad Center, followed by a rep from Elon University - one of the 40 colleges that change lives - at 10.

On Tuesday, a representative from the University of California San Diego will meet with students at 1:30 in the Post Grad Center. Sign up in Post Grad to attend.

Club Announcements: 

GSA will be holding a meeting concerning Day of Silence, happening April 11.  Day of Silence is a day where students voluntarily stay silent to raise awareness of the bullying and harassment faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.  If you are interested in participating or helping with Day of Silence, meet in the art room, 144 after school TODAY

Attention all student Council Officers, Ambassadors and General Council members we have a Student Council General Council meeting on Monday April 7th, 2:20 in the Forum.  We need you all there because we need to talk about the LHS LIP DUB!!  Plus there will treats!!

Attention sophomores who are starting the IB Diploma Program next year: you have a MANDATORY meeting at 7 pm  Monday, April 7, to learn about the CAS requirements for IB. We will explain the Creativity, Action and Service program, and give you lots of ideas for projects. Your parents should come, too. See you in the Forum at 7 pm Monday!

The DECA store will now be open from 8:30AM to 10:00 AM each day for LHS students to shop.  This will be the only times to get your tasty DECA store treats.

Junior/Senior After-Prom Party / April 26-27, 2014 / Get Involved!  After-Prom is right around the corner and the After-Prom planning is underway. After-Prom provides a safe and secure place for students to hang out after Prom has ended. All juniors and seniors are invited to attend, regardless of whether they go to Prom or not.

You can help by making a monetary contribution:
After-Prom Party is filled with fun activities including unlimited bowling, laser tag, and billiards. Food and beverages will also be included in the very reasonable admission price ($10). The cost of this event is approximately $10,000.  Tthe After-Prom committee is seeking contributions from families and area businesses. Contributions, payable to LHS PTO After-Prom, may be sent to LHS PTO After-Prom, Littleton High School 199 E Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80121.

The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 10 a.m. in the LHS Admin. Conference Room. Final After-Prom details will be discussed and Dr. Oaks will update us on LHS happenings.  Committee Chair and Faculty reports will be given.  If you are interested in getting involved in your student's school, this will be a great meeting for you to attend as we discuss a few PTO roster openings for the 2014-2015 school year.  Refreshments will be provided.  Hope to see you there!

The Girls Soccer C team had a stunning victory last night over Castle View by a score of 7-1.  Lindsey Silverman scored a hatrick and had 2 assists, Jackie Thebarge had 2 goals, Claudia Kramer had one goal, and Eva Zamora scored the other one from an assist by her sister Leona.  Madi Deter was outstanding in goal. Great job ladies!
