Congratulations to the Lady Lions Swim and Dive team for their win over Wheat Ridge and Arvada West.  The following athletes had State qualifying finishes:

Nice job by our Varsity Lions basketball team as they beat Thornton convincingly last night in the first round of the Mane Event Tournament here at LHS.  Monique Sandquist scored 12 points and collected 15 rebounds to help the Lions get the victory.  Come support your Varsity Lions tonight as they take on Boulder at 7:30 in round 2.

Also, congratulations to our C Team who defeated Dakota Ridge last night as well to move to a perfect 5-0 on the year.  Way to go Lions!!

Student Council is wearing their club shirts today to honor our sister school Arapahoe on this tough Anniversary.  We want to remind everyone that there is never, ever any reason to be mean to one another!  So..."DUDE. Be Nice." And to remain Warrior Strong!

There are only 10 snowflakes left on the Giving Snowman, so for those of you who want to give the gift of sharing this Holiday season, go over to the cafeteria hallway and get one of those last snowflakes!  Teachers this is a wonderful thing to do with young kids too!  Thanks

The Optimist International Club is hosting their annual essay contest for 2015. Winners receive cash awards ranging from $50-$100 and their essay is forwarded on to compete for a $2500 scholarship. The theme for the essay is “Optimism Should be a Priority.”  The application and essay must be submitted by February 14. Please see Mrs. Mashak in the main office for more information.

Attention all students and Teachers;   You are invited to come and participate in the 3rd annual Probability Fair being held in the cafeteria during 3rd period TODAY! There will be plenty of prizes and fun interactive games to play, sponsored by Mr. Chandler's Probability and Statistics class....See you there!

Everyone is invited to the LHS Winter Choral Concert this evening at 7pm in the Theater.  It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit!

PSAT Test Results are in!  Come to the Forum after school TODAY to receive your results and discuss your scores.

Club Announcements:

DECA members going to state.  There will be a short meeting TODAY in room 124 at 2:25 PM. You will be receiving all state paperwork, so it is very important that you attend.  Please see Mr. Decker ASAP if you are not able to attend.

There will be a Key Club meeting TODAY in room 211 after school.  Please remember to bring your donations for the shoeboxes for the homeless.

Don’t forget about the Giving Snowman. Please take a snowflake off the snowman and bring the presents to Ms. Prestel’s desk in the Social Studies office by Friday December 19th.

The LHS Instrumental Music Department Holiday Concert is TONIGHT at 7pm in the Theater.  The winter Choral Concert is Thursday evening at 7pm, also in the Theater. Come give your Holiday Spirit a Boost, you'll be glad you did.

If you were able to come out on Friday or Saturday night to see lions follies, you saw quite a show. It is clear we have a lot of talent here at our school. The winners of the 2014 lions follies are:

Congratulations to the LHS Speech and Debate team, who finished 6th out of 26 schools at the Chatfield Invitational.  Leading the way were Lucy Haggard, 4th in Humor, Imani Fanga, 4th in Poetry, Sam Burke, 3rd in Poetry, and David Levine and Eli Schwanitz, 2nd in Policy Debate.
