Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Stringy Ervin recognized once again!  Congratulations to Maurice “Stringy” Ervin for being selected 2014 National Federation of State High School Association’s National Coach of the Year for Girls Swimming & Diving!  Coach Ervin retired last May after 45 years of coaching, including 30 years with girls swimming.  He is known for his infamous team cheers, memorable purple plaid pants, and his tireless dedication to his student-athletes.  Congratulations Stringy!  You deserve this!  

Academic Announcements:

All sophomores on the IB-track!  There is a mandatory meeting during A and B lunches on Thursday, January 22 in the Forum.  Please bring your lunch and plan to attend. Ms. Anderson will review course options and requirements for the two-year IB Diploma Program.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Special Events:

Winter Dance is next weekend, have you asked your date yet!!?  Ladies this is a good time to be bold and ask the guy to the dance, guys don’t wait too long to ask that special person.  Don’t forget to fill out a guest form if your date is from another school!  We need those by Thurs. 29th!

Other Announcements:

Winter Dance tickets go on sale on Monday Jan. 26th, so bring you money-they're only $8! Also, that is the start of Winter Dance Spirit Week--plan now to have the best dress up days ever!  Monday is Hero Day, Tuesday is Villain Day, Wednesday is Disney Day, Thursday is Neverland Day and Friday is Class T-shirt Day for the Pep Rally!!  By the way, next Wednesday and Thursday you will be able to pick up or buy a class shirt from Student Council after school both days in the concession stand.  They are only $5--show your spirit!!

If you are interested in applying for the LHS Newspaper or the Yearbook the time is NOW!  Please see Ms. Fisher or Ms. Kron to get an application!

Attention Students!  The final day to purchase a yearbook is rapidly approaching!  We will have a limited number of books for sale at the end of the year, but once they are gone they are gone- so you will want to consider pre-purchasing.  The deadline to pre-purchase a yearbook is January 26.

Littleton High School is hosting our first "Hour of Code" event on Wednesday, January 28th right after school in the cafeteria from 2:30-4:30.  We'll have food, music, fun and you can prove to yourself that YOU CAN WRITE COMPUTER CODE...and have magical powers too!  Go to the LHS homepage to sign up.
