Today is an EVEN Period Day – 2.4.6.8.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Loin’s Baseball teams won all 4 games this last week, varsity was led by Dylan Nickless , pitched 4 scoreless innings, 3 for 4 hitting , 2 doubles, Joey Drennan 4 for 4 also 2 doubles, beating Rangeview 9  to 6. Played Vista Peak on Saturday won 14 to 2, David Levin pitched 4 scoreless innings.  JV won both games also.

Special Events:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Student Council will host a leprechaun and shamrock scavenger hunt in the cafe after school TODAY!!  Come on down after school and see how many Leprechauns and Shamrocks you can find--whoever finds the most wins a prize! See you there!

Performing Arts Concerts this week:
TONIGHT – Instrumental Spring Concert
Wednesday evening – Verden Music Concert; performed by visiting German students
Thursday evening – Spring Choir Concert
All concerts begin and 7pm and admission is FREE!

Each year 60,000 babies die of neo natal tetanus - a disease that can be prevented by a course of vaccinations that costs $1.80.  Key Club will be running a penny wars contest all this week outside the cafeteria to raise money to provide these life saving vaccines to mothers in developing countries.  Please donate your spare change during A lunch or B lunch!  It takes only 180 pennies to protect a mother and all her future unborn children from this devastating disease.

Other Announcements:

Students, when you park in the cafeteria and forum parking lot, it is imperative that you go the correct way.  Enter the parking lot on the East end and exit on the West end.  Please do not go the opposite direction, there is not enough space for a two cars to pass.   All traffic must flow in the same direction to maintain safety.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Academic Announcements:

IB JUNIORS, you have a mandatory meeting during this week's late-start Wednesday. Come to the Forum at 7:30 am for the Extended Essay launch. We will go over the process, timeline, and expectations for this important component of the IB diploma program. Questions? See Ms. Anderson or Mrs. Stulock.

There will be a PE Beep Make-Up Test TOMORROW, Wednesday March 18th, after school.  Be dressed and ready to start right at 2:30.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here TONIGHT, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Attention Seniors:  Now is the time to use up any lunch money in your account. If you still have a balance in your account on May 22, your parents must contact the Nutrition Services Office to transfer the balance to a sibling, process a refund or donate the money to a LunchShares fund.
