Happy Homecoming week!

Congratulations and GO LIONS!

Congratulations to the Boys Soccer teams!  Both JV and Varsity had 10-0 wins over Thornton.   Great job teams!!

The LHS Cross Country boys and girls teams swept the titles yesterday at the Golddigger Dash at Clear Creek High School.  Colin Cannon, Bruce Barnstable, Christian Sapakoff, and Tyler Fuller finished 2-3-4-5 to pace the boys.  Addi Iken, Magda van Leeuwen, Sarah Gray, Annika Cobb, Jenae Stutzman, and Clemence Auzias impressively all finished in the top 10 on the girls side.  It was the toughest course we'll see all year, so congratulations, Lions!

College visits for Juniors and Seniors:

  • Thursday at 10:00am - George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia; Post Grad 
  • Thursday at 12:00 - The Minerva Institute for Research and Scholarship will speak to IB STUDENTS ONLY regarding Minerva's Scholarship for Global Understanding, which is awarded to a select few IB students every year who attend Minerva. Forum.
  • Friday at 11:00am - Seattle University in Seattle, Washington; Post Grad Center

Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend this meeting.  If you need a pass from class, please stop by Post Grad before the meeting.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Other Announcements:

Theater Paint Crew is looking for new recruits for “To Kill a Mockingbird”.  If you are interested, there is a signup sheet outside the theatre, or you could talk to the crew chief, Trevor Beutner. Experience is recommended but not necessary. The show will be at Arapahoe High School so transportation may be needed.

Next week we will have a “Lock Down & Secure Perimeter Drill” at LHS.  Student and staff, please review the LHS Safety Chart for emergency procedures.

Senior Announcements:

Tuesday, September 22nd - Mr. Stedron will offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on in the Forum.

September 24 & 25 – Bettinger will be in the Main Lobby to take Senior Pictures if you missed the yearbook deadline.  Please see Mrs. Fisher if you need to confirm your appointment time.

Club Announcements:

The Model United Nations Club will meet today at 2:20 in room 206. Any students who are interested in attending the Introduction to Model UN Conference on Saturday, September 19th should attend.

There will be a FCCLA meeting Thursday in room 1979 (Culinary rm) right after school. Be sure to study for the FCCLA Facts quiz.

Homecoming Announcements:

This is Homecoming Week and the theme is Around the World!

  • TODAY - Country t-shirt Day, Dodgeball Tournament after school in the S. gym & Bonfire at 7:00pm
  • Thursday -TieDye Day, Boys Volleyball Tournament, Varsity Tennis and Varsity Girls Volleyball 
  • Friday - Class T-shirt Day, Pep Assembly, Parade, *Tailgate & Football game
    • *Tailgater starts 5:30pm; $4 for all you can eat and Freshmen eat for free!
  • Saturday – Homecoming Dance at 8PM in the South gym

Don’t forget to pick up your Class t-shirt from indoor concessions to wear on Friday!

Homecoming tickets are $15 and on sales during A & B lunch in the cafeteria .

Homecoming guest forms are due tomorrow, September 17th.

Blog Announcements:

LHS PTO would like to extend an invitation to all Littleton High School families to join us for prime Homecoming Parade viewing, Friday September 18th,  on the roof top deck of Merle’s in downtown Littleton. We will be there from 3:00-5:30, cheering on the students! Don’t forget to wear your purple and gold!!!

If you ordered a school supply Pack from DECA this year, the flash drives are in.  YOu can pick them up at the DECA store during lunches Monday and Tuesday of next week, or see Mr. Decker in room 1977.

Back by popular demand!  Mr. Stedron will once again offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on in the Forum.  Seniors who need to write a personal statement or essay for at least one of your college applications will not want to miss this.  Mr. Stedron provides straightforward direction for attacking this often difficult, intimidating piece of writing.  See you there!

College Information Night" will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 6:00 - 8:00pm here at school.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and their parents, will not want to miss this terrific even...you'll find it helpful and college stress relieving!

Attention Seniors!  Applications for the highly competitive and prestigious Boettcher Scholarship are now available to any senior who wishes to apply. Scholarships recipients receive a four-year full ride scholarship to any college or university in Colorado.  Amazing!   You can find all the details at the Boettcher Scholarship Online Application website.  The deadline for your completed application package is October 1st.
