STUDENT BULLETIN
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Congratulations and GO LIONS!

The Heritage/Littleton Varsity softball team run ruled and shut out Arapahoe in 5 innings with a score of 13-0.  Gabby Matl, MaryAnn Quintana and Jaiden Kleiner plated 6 of the runs with clutch hits and stolen bases.  MaryAnn and Gabby both doubled in the outing, placing them #1 and #2 in the league for doubles thus far.

All students interested in competing on Littleton's speech and debate team should attend our first meeting TODAY, after school in the Forum.

Current NHS seniors:  This is a friendly reminder that we have our first meeting in the forum Monday after school.  Please see Ms. Fritz or Mr. Hahn if you are unable to attend.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members; we have a very important General Council meeting on Monday Sept. 14th--we need to finalize all of our Homecoming activities!  We are meeting the BACK OF THE LIBRARY again, that is the back of the library not the forum.  And, if you are in NHS, please meet with them first, then come to StuCo. Homecoming is NEXT week....so it is time to start thinking about dressing up for SPIRIT DAYS!! Our theme is Around the World, and we have some super fun days for you this year.  Monday is Red, White and Blue Day, Tuesday is Tourist Day, Wednesday is Country t-shirt Day (wear a shirt that depicts a country or is from another country), Thursday isTieDye Day and Friday is Class T-shirt Day!!  Dress up and GET IN THE SPIRIT!!

Class t-shirts are in - Pick up your pre-ordered shirt or buy one if you forgot to order in advance!  Get your Class t-shirts during lunches and after school at the indoor concession stand on Friday Sept. 11th, Wed. Sept. 16th and Thursday Sept. 17th.

Homecoming guest forms are available in the main office and at student services on the purple table. They will be due on September 17, 2015.

Back by popular demand!  Mr. Stedron will once again offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on Tuesday, September 22nd in the Forum.  Seniors who need to write a personal statement or essay for at least one of your college applications will not want to miss this.  Mr. Stedron provides straightforward direction for attacking this often difficult, intimidating piece of writing.  See you there!

Attention Seniors!  Applications for the highly competitive and prestigious Boettcher Scholarship are now available to any senior who wishes to apply. Scholarships recipients receive a four-year full ride scholarship to any college or university in Colorado.  Amazing!   You can find all the details at the Boettcher Scholarship Online Application website.  The deadline for your completed application package is October 1st. Stop by Post Grad for more information.

Students who ride the bus - the September RTD student bus passes are $39.50 for the month and available for purchase through the bookkeeper.

Congratulations and GO LIONS!

Congratulations to our Boys Soccer team as they defeated Arapahoe last night 1-0. This moves our team record to 4-0.

Boys Tennis has improved to 3-0 on the season. They defeated Conifer last night, winning every match. Keep up the hard work. GO LIONS!

Jostens last day is TODAY!  They will be taking graduation orders for announcement, cap, gowns and more.  Jostens will be in the Senior hallway from 10:30am – 12:30pm.  Extra graduation packets are by the attendance office.  Ms. Besty Kaily can help with order questions.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys soccer team. They have started the season undefeated and are ranked #4 in the state.

The Heritage/Littleton Varsity Softball team beat Chatfield 18-9 on Tuesday.  The next game is Thursday against Arapahoe at 4pm at DeKoevand Park.  Come and support the Softball Team against this rival!

There will be an orientation to Model UN and the upcoming Saturday, September 19th Introduction to Model UN Conference at Boulder High School. Additionally, planning for International Education week (November 16-20) will be discussed. All interested students and staff are welcome.

Spirit club will be having their first meeting of the year today right after school in Mr. Wentz's room, #1606. Anyone can join as we want everyone to be involved in LHS school spirit!

Junior and seniors:  Are you interested in the realms of Scholarship, Leadership, Community Service and Character?  If so, then National Honor Society may be for you!  Eligibility letters are being mailed home to eligible juniors, as well as senior students who do not already belong to NHS.  Also, a list posted by student ID number is outside of the counseling office with all junior and senior students who are eligible to apply for NHS.  If you are already a member you do not need to re-apply.  For those eligible and interested you may pick-up an application in the counseling office beginning the afternoon of September 4th

STUDENT BULLETIN

Congratulations and GO LIONS!

The LHS Cross Country teams roared out to a Lion-strong start to the season at Friday's Arapahoe Invitational.  The boys' team moved up 17 places from last year by finishing 10th, while the girls jumped 25 places by placing 12th.  Addi Iken led the way for the girls with an impressive 4th-place finish.  She was followed by Magda van Leeuwen and Sarah Gray, and then by Jenae Stutzman, who ran her personal-best time even though it was just our first meet this year.  Colin Cannon, Bruce Barnstable, and freshman Christian Sapakoff were the top Lions in the boys' race.  Great way to start, Lions!

CONGRATULATIONS to the new Student Council officers for the class of 2019!  President Jack Klein, Vice President Jenna Silverman and Public Relations Officer-Kathleen Le.  Nice job to everyone who gave speeches!
