Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congrats to the JV Track Teams who competed in the JV Championship Meet yesterday. Girls finished 7th and Boys 2nd! The following Athletes finished in the top three!  Lilly Haynes & Erika Corbitt (Shot & Discus), Tri Bui (200m Dash, 4x100 & 4x200m Relays), Thor Knutson (4x100 & 4x200m Relays), Lincoln Vitry & Cooper Weins (4x400m Relay), Ansen Yuen (4x100m, 4x200 & 4x400m Relays), Matt Norwood (4x100m & 4x200m Relays), Devon Young (Long & Triple Jump, 4x400 Relay), Matt Friedberg (Long & Triple Jump), Alex Trujillo (Shot/Discus).

The JV girls soccer team recorded their 4th consecutive shutout yesterday. Goals from Katie Roskam, Barret Small and Zoee Stombaugh lead to a win over Conifer.

Congratulations to the Girls Soccer C Team for their 2-1 win over Lakewood Yesterday.  Jenna Silverman scored both goals in a terrific team win.  Come see the team play Legend at home this Thursday at 4 pm.

Senior Announcements:

Senior Graduation Meeting - Seniors remember you have a very important meeting regarding graduation on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am in the Theater.  Please be on time!  We have important information to share with you! And then it is time for pancakes, dress-up and make-up! See you then!

Senior Shirts are here!  Please wear them tomorrow morning for your SWAG Breakfast.  If you did not pick up your shirt yesterday, they will be available in the morning.

Club & Activity Announcements:

Everyone is welcome to come to the Great Debate in the forum, right after school TODAY.  Don't miss this unique opportunity to watch the best and the brightest among us debate relevant issues affecting your lives.  Sponsored by the Political Committee.

Key Club - We have a meeting on Thursday after school in room 2620.  We are voting on next year's officers and working on a very important service project during the meeting, so we need as many people as possible!  Please come if you can!

Academic Announcements:

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Attention Juniors and Seniors!  An admissions representative from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, will visit LHS on Thursday, at 1:45 pm.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.

Prom / Make-A-Wish / Spirit Week Events:

Prom events:  Prom tickets are on sale all this week.  They are $40 per LHS underclassmen and non-LHS guests, Seniors are FREE!   TODAY they will be on sale in the cafe, and starting on Wednesday, they will be sold out of the bookkeepers office during lunches.  Seniors make sure you bring your school ID to get into Prom! You also can buy After Prom tickets from the bookkeeper-$15.

Prom guest forms are available at Student services and main office; they are due Thursday!

Prom is a Mystery!!  And LHS has a real life Mystery to solve...someone has stolen the SPIRIT LION!!

The first Prom "Who Stole the Spirit Lion Mystery" clue is:  This person has been known to wear Purple and Gold on days other than Fridays!

Make A Wish Events:  TODAY after school come to the north gym and play some Dodge Ball!!  $10 for a team of 6!  Wednesday, bring your iPhones and play a song to challenge someone in LIP SYNC BATTLES.  The winner is decided by how much change is put into the jar with the person's name on it.  Thursday during lunches, come out and try to dunk Mr. Amonson and 2 more 'mystery' guests! The Dunk Tank only cost $2 per throw!  Then on Friday we have the Make A Wish Pep Assembly as well as Root Beer Floats being sold after school in lobby and cafe-3 bucks.  Finally, your classroom may be doing a Change Bucket Challenge, so check with your teachers--fun fun!!

Wear your Make A Wish shirts on Friday!  T shirts are still available for $12 if you did not pre-order one.

Special Events:

Tickets for the 2016 Choir Pops Concerts, this Thursday & Friday, are available online at www.seatyourself.biz  and in the ticket booth during lunches and after school.  Tickets are general admission for $7.

Don’t miss the first ever ART WEEK here at LHS this week during lunches, you can do the following:  Today, do collages and eat cookies, on Wednesday there will be a screen Printing demonstration in the courtyard, on Thursday, you can make Origami shapes in the cafe and get Henna in the art room, and on Friday there is a special Twitter exhibit in the main lobby.  All week you can buy some pottery from the Ceramics 2 class and for a small Make A Wish donation, you can color on Zentangle Coloring sheets!!  See you there!

Don’t miss your last chance of the school year to buy LHS sprit wear.  Stop by the DECA store during lunch on late start Wednesday to check out sale items and new products, including the $5 LHS ID holder and phone stand that attaches to any cell phone case.

This Sunday, May 1st - Donate your unwanted stuff and help raise funds! The LHS Garage Sale Fundraiser has a new date, a new format...and a new location!  Savers is hosting a donation drive for us at their Littleton location, 1400 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton 80120. Drop off your stuff on Sunday, May 1st, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and Savers will pay us for every pound of goods received! Proceeds benefit Littleton High School Performing Arts. For more information and a list of items they will accept: Clothing, Shoes, Accessories, Books, Linens, and Household Items* (*Small items only. No furniture).

Attention everyone!  Do you want to join the busiest, biggest and most fun club here at LHS?!!  If so, pick up a Student Council packet in the main office or in the Social Studies office with Ms. Prestel. This is a great chance to get involved here at LHS, and it doesn't look too bad on your resume either!

Summer School information is NOW available in the Counseling office.

A dime for a bag. For every bag you reuse, including produce bags, the LHS greenhouse gets 10 cents. Please, don't forget to take your reusable bags to Whole Foods Southglenn for their Bag Donation Credit Program( specify money to go to LHS).  We are the recipients through June - the change adds up.  Less waste, fewer natural resources squandered, more money for us!
