STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to your Lion Ultimate guys' team on their 11-7 win over Collegiate Academy yesterday. Both the guys' and girls' teams have one more game each before they head to state in May!

Academic Announcements:

Attention Juniors and Seniors!  An admissions representative from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, will visit LHS TODAY at 1:45 pm.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here TONIGHT from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Club & Activity Announcements:

There is 5 minute, mandatory FCCLA meeting TODAY in rm. 1972, right after school. All members must be there.  We will be discussing the end of the year party.  An officer meeting will follow.

Key Club - We have a meeting TODAY after school in room 2620.  We are voting on next year's officers and working on a very important service project during the meeting, so we need as many people as possible!  Please come if you can!

Student Council wants YOU! If you have lots of school spirit, want to make a difference at LHS and would love to help LHS be the best school it can be.....then become a Student Council Officer! Packets are available in the main office or in the Social Studies office at Ms. Prestel's desk.

Special Events:

Tickets for the 2016 Choir Pops Concerts are available online at www.seatyourself.biz and in the ticket booth during lunches and after school.  Tickets are general admission for $7.  Performances are TONIGHT and tomorrow at 7pm.

Don’t miss the fun ART WEEK activities happening this week during lunches:  Today, you can make Origami shapes in the cafe and get Henna in the art room, and on Friday there is a special Twitter exhibit in the main lobby.  All can buy pottery from the Ceramics II class and for a small Make A Wish donation, you can color on Zentangle Coloring sheets!!  See you there!

Prom / Make-A-Wish / Spirit Week Events:

Prom guest forms are due TODAY!

Prom is a Mystery!!  And LHS has a real life Mystery to solve...someone has stolen the SPIRIT LION!!

The Third Prom "Who Stole the Spirit Lion Mystery" clue is:  This adult likes to travel to other countries.

Prom events:  Prom tickets are on sale during lunches out of the bookkeepers office.  They are $40 per LHS underclassmen and non-LHS guests, Seniors are FREE but make sure you bring your school ID to get into Prom!   You also can buy After Prom tickets for $15.

Make A Wish Events:  The Dunk Tank has been cancelled for Today due to the weather-we will try it another time.  Sorry! BUT, back by popular demand... we will have Lip Sync Challenge during lunches on FRIDAY!!  We raised over $100 on Wednesday, and there were lines of people waiting to sign up. So come to A and B lunches tomorrow and we do more Lip Syncing!

The Make A Wish pep Assembly is Friday--we need you to bring all your loose change, dollars, 5's 10's, hundreds...whatever you want to donate to Dominic's Walt Disney World Wish and we will have one last BUCKET CHANGE CHALLENGE--last year we raised $2000 at the pep assembly--let's BEAT that total this year!!

This Sunday, May 1st - Donate your unwanted stuff and help raise funds! The LHS Garage Sale Fundraiser has a new date, a new format...and a new location!  Savers is hosting a donation drive for us at their Littleton location, 1400 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton 80120. Drop off your stuff on Sunday, May 1st, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and Savers will pay us for every pound of goods received! Proceeds benefit Littleton High School Performing Arts. A list of items they will accept: Clothing, Shoes, Accessories, Books, Linens, and Household Items* (*Small items only. No furniture).

Summer School information is NOW available in the Counseling office.

A dime for a bag. For every bag you reuse, including produce bags, the LHS greenhouse gets 10 cents. Please, don't forget to take your reusable bags to Whole Foods Southglenn for their Bag Donation Credit Program( specify money to go to LHS).  We are the recipients through June - the change adds up.  Less waste, fewer natural resources squandered more money for us!
