STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Boys Lacrosse made it to the playoffs!  They head to Windsor TONIGHT for a 7pm game.  Good luck team!

Also in the playoffs is our Girls Soccer team!  They play Durango away tomorrow night at 5:30pm. Go Lions!

Congratulations to our new Student Council officers:  Andy Bredar-Student Body President, Jack Leuthold-Student Body Vice President, Emma Olsen-Student Body Secretary, Maddie Fuchs-Student Body Public Relations, Brisa Banuelos-SAC Representative, Grant Bowman-class of 2017 President, Tatianah Summers-Class of 2017 Vice President, Ellie Monblatt Class of 2017 Public Relations, Reganne Fornstrom-Class of 2018 President, Tuscon DeShon Class of 2018 Public Relations, Kathleen Le-Class of 2019 President and Rachel Tobler Class of 2019 Vice President!  Nice job everyone with speeches and campaigning!  If any student at LHS wants to join Student Council as an ambassador, you can see one of those officers or Ms. Prestel in the Social Studies office for a form.

Sports Announcements:

Open gyms continue TONIGHT for girls basketball from 6:00-7:30 in the North gym.  All players who plan to participate in our summer program are strongly encouraged to attend!  Also don't forget that our first ever summer tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 from 4:00-6:00 & Saturday, May 21st from 9:00-11:00.  Getting ready to go to the Next Level!

There will be an informational meeting for all boys interested in tennis on Wednesday at 2:25 in room 1215 in the art hallway. If you are not able to attend please contact Mrs. Hughes.

Come see how cool Cross Country can be during our informational pre-season meeting on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Room 1329. Students and their parents are invited to meet the coaches, learn about summer running and hear about the season. Athletes of all abilities are welcome and little or no running experience is required for this no-cut sport. Hope to see you there!

Academic Announcements:

Attention Seniors!  THIS WEEK, the Post Grad Center will be conducting Senior Exit Interviews between 8:30 and 2:30 every day!  You MUST stop by the Post Grad and complete a few activities before you can pick up your cap and gown for graduation.  Also, please pay all outstanding fees/fines before you come see us.  Almost there!

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Students - ALL Library materials are due back Friday, May 13th.

All scholars planning on taking AP Literature and Composition with Mr. Thom next year need to drop by room 1472 before the end of the school year in order to pick up your summer work.  Mr. Thom looks forward to meeting with you!

The yearbooks are HERE!  Please pick up your pre-ordered yearbook from the main office.

Blog Announcements:

Please bring your own bag to Whole Foods.  For every bag you reuse, including produce bags, the LHS greenhouse gets 10 cents. Please, don't forget to take your reusable bags to Whole Foods Southglenn for their Bag Donation Credit Program (specify money to go to LHS).  We are the recipients through June - the change adds up.  Less waste, fewer natural resources squandered more money for us!
