Academic Announcements:

Reminder: The deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment Paperwork is Friday! Students must return the completed packet to Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

Club & Activity Announcement:

Happy Halloween everyone from Student Council, we hope you like the decorations around the school; we ask that you treat them with RESPECT and not tear any of them down or take them away with you...thanks a ton!

The Model UN Club will meet today in room 2609 between 2:20 and 2:45pm. Any students who are interested in participating in the November 12th Kent Denver Model UN Conference should attend. Additionally, there will be information on the March 15-18 New York Model UN Conference and Trip.

Key Club will meet this Tomorrow in room 2620.  Please bring any permission slips for trick or treat for cans to this meeting.

FBLA members!  Come and learn how to prepare for the Stock Market Challenge, Tomorrow at 2:20 pm in the Forum.  We will have a business professional preparing us for the challenge. Don't miss out on your opportunity to participate in this fun event.

Special Events:

Halloween O Grams are for sale RIGHT NOW through any Student Council member!  This is a great way to give a friend a nice message PLUS some yummy Halloween Candy!  They are only $1 and all the proceeds go towards Urban Peak Homeless shelters in Littleton and Denver, they are the shelters that help teens who are in trouble; so buy LOTS Of Halloween O Grams for your friends and help out someone in the community! Halloween Spirit Days continues; today is Wacky Wednesday; Thursday is Superhero Day and Friday is Twins Day-always very popular!  And, don’t forget, you might win a prize from StuCo for dressing up!  Get in the Halloween Spirit!

Come out and have some fun and relive some family memories at the 5th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest sponsored by Student Council! Meet in the cafeteria on Thursday after school and bring your creativity with you!  We will supply the pumpkins and carving tools, you supply the designs! PRIZES will be awarded in 3 different categories-Scariest, Creative and LHS spirit!  See you there!

Sports Announcements:

Open gyms for girls basketball continue this Thursday evening with our workout from 6:30-7:00 and 7:00-8:30 on the court.  All girls who plan to tryout for the upcoming season (in just 2 weeks!) are encouraged to attend.  Basketball season is just around the corner!

Basketball season is only 3 weeks away, tryouts begin on November 11th. All students interested in playing boys basketball this season must attend the informational meeting next Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. in the Forum. Don't forget to make sure you're registered and cleared for the Winter Sports Season.

Attention boys lacrosse players and those interested in playing lacrosse.  We will have our first parent/player meeting on Thursday in the Forum at 7 pm.  Come to hear from our new coach and plans for our upcoming season. See you there.  See Mrs. Wilkins in room 215 w/questions.

Other Announcements:

Does your LHS wardrobe need an update?  If so, be sure to stop by the cafeteria during lunch Today  The Booster Club will be selling new LHS sweatshirts, beanies, baseball hats and much more.  Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.

Hope For Haiti.  This is a program started by one of our seniors-Hadley Hindeman-and she would like our help for the victims of the hurricane that recently hit Haiti.  The Red Cross is asking mainly for personal items for the victims including: shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste etc... So, Student Council joined in and thought to ask each class to donate an item:  Freshmen-soap, Sophomores-shampoo, Juniors-Toothbrush or toothpaste, and Seniors-deodorant. There will be bins will be in the lobby and Ms. Prestel's room starting Mon. Nov. 7th.

The Stride is on Sunday, October 30th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? See a member of the PE department for a form, or register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put Littleton in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!! Bring your friends and family and come and Stride with us!

Blog Announcements:

The Swim Proficiency tests at LHS will be November 7th and November 8th at 2:30 sharp! Sign-up in the Counseling Office, space is limited to the first 30 students per session.

Parents we encourage you to regularly monitor your student’s progress by logging in to Infinite Campus.  If you do not have your Infinite Campus log-in information go to http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/schools/littleton-high-school/infinite-campus-family-portal.

Attention college-bound Seniors:  If you have not signed up for a Senior Meeting in the Post Grad Center, or if you missed the meeting you signed up for, please sign up for and attend a meeting as soon as possible.  Meetings will only be held through November 4th.  If you cannot find a meeting date and time during an off period or lunch, please stop by Post Grad, and we'll work something out.  Here is the link to the sign up:

Attention Seniors applying to college!  Remember that you must have submitted your application to your college before you request to have your transcript sent.  AND your transcript needs to be ordered 10 school days before your college deadline!  That means that if your college application deadline is November 15th, you need to have submitted your application and requested your transcript by November 1st!  We want all of your materials to arrive at your colleges on time, so take note of these popular application deadlines and your LHS deadlines:
