Sports Announcements:

Friday Night Lights-  Our varsity football team takes on the Rampart Rams.  Friday, Oct 7th at 7pm, LPS stadium.

Hey LHS Football fans!!  Friday is going to be a BLACKOUT DAY at the football game sponsored by the Hype Club!!  Wear your black to the game and be ready to cheer the Lions to victory!

Special Events:

Come and enjoy the talents of the LHS Theater Department and their production of the comedy "Greater Tuna"!  A show about all the quirky characters who live in the 3rd smallest town in Texas.  Tuna, Texas!  The show will take place on Thursday and Friday, October 13-14th, at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.  Go to www.seatyourself.biz or the box office during lunches to buy tickets.

Blood Drive is Today sponsored by NHS and Bonfils.  Don’t miss your opportunity to help save a live.  Sign up with Mr. Hahn in the Counseling Office.  Spaces are limited.

Club & Activity Announcement:

FBLA members, we will be having a meeting Today at 2:20 in room 1976. This meeting is extremely important because we will be introducing competitive events for the year. See you all there!

Technology Student Association (TSA) will be meeting Today after school from 2:20 to 3:30 in room 215 we will be talking about Event sign ups and more so don't miss out!

The Gay / Straight Alliance, also known as the GSA, meets every Thursday in Ms. Quill's room 1602 from 2:30 - 3:30. Come for some snacks and the opportunity to connect with LHS students in a safe and welcoming environment!

FCCLA/Culinary Club is selling "healthy baked goods" Today and Friday, at select times.  Please bring $1 and help support FCCLA.



Academic Announcements:

Attention 11th & 12th graders who want to take classes at ACC next semester, you need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment Meeting on Thursday, October 13 at 2:15 pm in room 1610.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores:  The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups have begun and conclude Friday, October 14th.  Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!

Attention Juniors and Seniors!  Admissions representatives from the following schools will be visiting LHS on the following days this week.

Blog Announcements:

Booster club will be selling apparel at the LHS Football game this Friday.  Look for us at the north concessions from 6:30pm through halftime.  We have lots of new products including sweatshirts, water bottles, beanies, baseball caps, socks, and much more. Cash & credit cards will be accepted.
Every Student Needs to Visit a College Campus!  Wondering how to spend your time over October break?  Many, many families at LHS and across the country use school breaks to visit college campuses.  And now you can too!  We're offering a fun, informative and free comprehensive college campus visit to the University of Colorado's Denver campus on Thursday, October 20th, 9:30am-3:15pm...including lunch provided at no charge!  LHS classes will not be in session that day.  Students will meet at school at 9:15m in The Forum, take an LPS school bus to the Auraria Campus (downtown Denver), visit CU-Denver's brand new Visitor Center for a top-notch Information Session and then take an in depth tour of the amazing facilities on campus. We plan to return back to school at approximately 3:15pm. Visit the LHS homepage scroller to find a link for online registration. Registration will close October 14th.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Tattered Cover is excited to present the inaugural Colorado Teen Book Con! Saturday, October 15, 2016, 9:00 am - 4:45 pm at Littleton High School in Littleton, CO. Mark your calendars!  This is a full day event with two keynote presentations, a bunch of author panels, and a big author signing party at the end of the day. And food trucks. Of course, food trucks. Books will be for sale throughout the day.  This event, open exclusively to teens, is free, but you must register!
