Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to the varsity Lady Lions who swept the visiting Green Mountain Rams last night. Senior Mallory Burbage lead the night with 14 kills and 3 aces. Julia Jobanputra and Emma Parkhurst finished the night with 7 and 5 kills apiece. Congrats! The ladies travel to Standley Lake High School on Wednesday.

Special Events:

TODAY is picture retake day or make up day if you missed getting your ID picture taken back in August.  Lifetouch is in the Theater lobby.

Come and enjoy the talents of the LHS Theater Department and their production of the comedy "Greater Tuna"!  A show about all the quirky characters who live in the 3rd smallest town in Texas.  Tuna, Texas!  The show will take place on October 13 & 14 at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.  Go to www.seatyourself.biz or the box office during lunches to buy tickets.

Teen Book Con will be at Littleton High School on Saturday, October 15th.  This is an awesome all day event hosted by the Tattered Cover.  This event, open exclusively to teens, is free, but you must register! The Stride is on Sunday, October 30th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? See a member of the PE department for a form, or register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put Littleton in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!! Bring your friends and family and come and Stride with us!

Club & Activity Announcement:

Hey, if you like the fine arts in any way, shape, or form, come to the introduction meeting for the Community Art Team Club TODAY in room 1218.  Come see what this club is all about, and keep in mind club officials are needed.  See you there!

The next meeting of the PEAS club will meet TODAY after school in the greenhouse. We will start growing plants at this meeting.

The GSA is hosting its first movie day after school next Thursday. All of LHS is welcome to come see "CAMP!" for free in the Forum at 2:30 next Thursday. Admission is free, and snacks are available for purchase.

Key Club will meet at 2:15 this Thursday in room 2620.  We will be decorating socks to donate to Children's Hospital.  If you still wish to join Key Club, this is the last chance to pay your dues and submit paperwork.  If you need additional copies of paperwork please email Mr. Hahn or Ms. Anthamatten.

Class t-shirts will be available for pick up or sale if you did not get yours at Homecoming.  Student Council will be doing spirit days throughout the year, plus we still have two pep rallies coming up; so you will WANT to get your class shirt.  Go down to the concession stand on THURSDAY DURING BOTH LUNCHES AND AFTER SCHOOL and pick up your shirt, or buy one for only $5.

Academic Announcements:

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.

Attention 11th & 12th graders who want to take classes at ACC next semester, you need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment Meeting on Thursday, October 13 at 2:15 pm in room 1610.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores:  The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups have begun and conclude Friday, October 14th.  Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!

Attention college-bound Seniors:  If you have not signed up for a Senior Meeting in the Post Grad Center, or if you missed the meeting you signed up for, please sign up for and attend a meeting as soon as possible.  Meetings will only be held through November 4th.  If you cannot find a meeting date and time during an off period or lunch, please stop by Post Grad, and we'll work something out.  Here is the link to the sign up:

Blog Announcements:

LHS Marching Band fundraiser at Patxi’s Pizza TODAY at Kent Place, 3455 S University Blvd, Englewood.  10% of sales from Dine-in, Delivery or Carry out will support our band (excludes alcohol and catering sales).

Please join us on Wednesday, Oct.12th at 6:00pm-7:30pm for our 1st of 2 evening PTO meetings. We understand that mid-week morning meetings aren't always convenient so we hope that this alternative time will enable more of our Littleton parents the opportunity to attend! The meeting will have an abbreviated agenda including an update from Dr. Oaks and time at the end for socializing with current and new families.  Please plan to attend this fun and informative night!

Every Student Needs to Visit a College Campus!  Wondering how to spend your time over October break?  Many families at LHS and across the country use school breaks to visit college campuses.  And now you can too for free!  All students are invited to participate in a visit to the University of Colorado's Denver campus on Thursday, October 20th, 9:30am-3:15pm., including lunch provided at no charge! Online sign up is on the Announcements part of  the LHS homepage.  Spaces are limited and registration closes Friday, October 14th.

Tattered Cover is excited to present the inaugural Colorado Teen Book Con! Saturday, October 15, 2016, 9:00 am - 4:45 pm at Littleton High School in Littleton, CO. Mark your calendars!  This is a full day event with two keynote presentations, a bunch of author panels, and a big author signing party at the end of the day. And food trucks. Of course, food trucks. Books will be for sale throughout the day.  This event, open exclusively to teens, is free, but you must register!
