Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Level 3, JV, and Varsity volleyball teams who beat the visiting Standley Lake Gators Thursday night. Both the JV and Varsity swept their opponent 2-0 and 3-0. The varsity offense was led by Mallory Burbage, Julia Jobanputra, Emily Fraser, and Julia Encinias who combined for a total of 28 kills, while Emma Parkhurst dished out 22 assists. A shout out to our fantasitc crowd who came out to cheer us on!

The Littleton Lions had a great showing at the Regional Cross Country Meet in Grand Junction last Thursday. Almost everyone had a career best on this super-fast course – some by 50 seconds or more! Congratulations to Addi Iken, who finished eighth overall, Tyler Ervin, who finished 10th overall and Christian Sapakoff, who finished 13th overall. These three athletes will represent Littleton at the State Cross Country Meet in Colorado Springs on Saturday, October 29 at the Norris Penrose Equestrian Center. Boys run at 9:20 a.m. and the Girls toe the start line at 10:40 a.m. Hope to see you out there!

Sports Announcements:

Attention boys lacrosse players and those interested in playing lacrosse.  We will have our first parent/player meeting on Thurs. Oct. 27th in the Forum at 7 pm.  Come to hear from our new coach and plans for our upcoming season. See you there.  See Mrs. Wilkins in room 215 w/questions.

Basketball season is only 3 weeks away, tryouts begin on November 11th. All students interested in playing boys basketball this season must attend the informational meeting next Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. in the Forum. Don't forget to make sure you're registered and cleared for the Winter Sports Season.

Academic Announcements:

Attention all Students who have signed up for the field trip to visit the University of Colorado at Denver campus on Tuesday, October 25th.  Permission slips have been emailed to everyone who signed up.  You must complete those and turn them into Mrs. Reimers by the end of the school day today.  If we don't have a permission slip for you, you will not be allowed to come along.  That would be just sad!

Reminder: The deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment Paperwork is this Friday, October 28th. Students must return the completed packet to Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

The Swim Proficiency tests at LHS will be November 7th and November 8th at 2:30 sharp! Sign-up in the Counseling Office, space is limited to the first 30 students per session.

Other Announcements:

The Stride is on Sunday, October 30th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? See a member of the PE department for a form, or register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put Littleton in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!! Bring your friends and family and come and Stride with us!

Halloween Spirit Days start TOMORROW and we are making it easy...just wear your Class t-shirt and you could win a PRIZE!  The LHS Student Council is sponsoring a number of spirit days with your class t-shirts and Tuesday 25th is one!

All seniors, please check the posted lists to be sure you have a star by your name, to indicate that we have received your senior picture. If not it needs to be emailed to Tiffany Fisher, (Tnfisher@lps.k12.co.us), by 10/26/16. The lists are posted in the cafeteria, senior hall and all lang-arts teachers rooms.

Club & Activity Announcement:

There will be a meeting for the art club onTuesday, after school in room 1218

FBLA members, if you would like to participate in the Stock Market Challenge, you must sign up in room 1976 TODAY through Wednesday. There are only 25 slots for people to participate and slots will fill up quickly, so sign up as soon as possible. The Challenge is on November 4th.

Attention college-bound Seniors:  If you have not signed up for a Senior Meeting in the Post Grad Center, or if you missed the meeting you signed up for, please sign up for and attend a meeting as soon as possible.  Meetings will only be held through November 4th.  If you cannot find a meeting date and time during an off period or lunch, please stop by Post Grad, and we'll work something out.  Here is the link to the sign up:

Attention Seniors applying to college!  Remember that you must have submitted your application to your college before you request to have your transcript sent.  AND your transcript needs to be ordered 10 school days before your college deadline!  That means that if your college application deadline is November 15th, you need to have submitted your application and requested your transcript by November 1st!  We want all of your materials to arrive at your colleges on time, so take note of these popular application deadlines and your LHS deadlines:
