Special Events:

The Colorado State Spirit Competition is this weekend at the Denver Coliseum. Please come and cheer on your Varsity Cheerleading Team as they compete Friday December 9th and your Varsity Lionettes Dance Team on Saturday December 10th. Good luck at State! Go Lions!

The Coats for Veterans are NOW out and ready to be filled...Student Council and NHS have teamed up to do this coat drive, so dig out your gently used coats of any size and bring them to the library, attendance office or cafeteria and put them in the bins to benefit Veterans and their families!

Time to get into the Holiday Spirit!!  Student Council is sponsoring a spirit dress up week next week for us get rid of any winter blues and to get ready for finals!  Monday is Green and Red Day, Tuesday is Ski Bum Day, Wednesday is Santa Hat and Festive Socks Day, Thursday is Winter Pajama Day and Friday is the ever popular Ugly Christmas/Holiday Sweater Day!!  We will have a competition on Friday, so head up to Ms. Prestel's room (2618) during A and B lunches and get your picture taken and you might win a cool prize!

Friday, December 9th beginning at 7pm the LHS Theater Company class is putting on their own production of Hamlet: Sort of! It is free to attend and we hope to see everyone there!

Clubs and Activities:

 Just a reminder that National Honor Society students are providing free one-on-one tutoring in the counseling office nearly every day and every period.  If you need help preparing for finals or help with any of your school work please stop by the counseling office anytime before December 16th to take advantage of this great resource.

Key Club will meet in room 2620 at 2:15 today December 8th to make holiday  cards for the elderly.  All welcome!If you ordered a Key Club T shirt, please bring $15 cash or check to the meeting on the 8th or bring it to Ms. Anthamatten or Mr. Hahn sometime this week.

Stressed about finals? Come relax at the next after-school movie day! Come watch Finding Dory on Wednesday, December 14 in the forum with the GSA! You can buy tickets for $1 in room 1602 during A or B lunch, or for $2 at the door.

Calling all artists and writers! The theme for the LHS Art & Literary Club, Inspirlions, is holiday! Submit any holiday themed drawings, poems, short stories, and more, as well as any other works of art! Submit at inspirlions. and you could be published on our website, located under Student Publications on the LHS website.

Trancripts!  Attention Seniors applying to college!  Remember that your transcript needs to be ordered 10 school days before your college deadline!  This means that if your college application deadline is January 1st or 15th, you need to have requested and paid for your transcript before the break!  We want all of your materials to arrive at your colleges on time, so take note of these popular application deadlines and your LHS deadlines:
