STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Great job by our Varsity Lions last night in their big win over Conifer!  Junior Maddie Fuchs scored 8 points and pulled down 9 rebounds while sophomore Rebekah Sandstrom completed her league leading 5th double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.  Awesome team win, Lions!

Please congratulate Littleton FCCLA on demonstrating their outstanding knife cut skills and taking home the win from the District Salsa Wars.

Don't miss the Harlem Wizards vs the Littleton Legends competition TONIGHT @ 7pm in the North gym.  These super-star basketball players will show their skills, drills and tricks against Littleton teachers, staff & high school students.  Tickets are available at the door.  See you there!!

LIONS FOLLIES is Student Council's annual Talent and Variety Show to make money for Prom. Audition sign-up sheets are in the theater hallway and in the language arts hallway next to the Student Council bulletin boards.  Auditions are NEXT week Feb. 16-19.  We hope to see you there!

Attention anyone planning on being a part of the Track and Field team this spring there will be an important meeting Wednesday, February 17th at 2:30 in the Health Room! If you cannot make it or have questions please see Coach Koepke!

The Boys swim team has informational papers regarding the upcoming season in the athletic office. If you are swimming please swing by and pick one up.  The swim packet has information on team apparel as well as pre-season practices.  Hurry!!!

Practice ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is Wednesday, February 17th in Room 1610 at 2:20pm.  The test is free of charge and all students are welcome!  Sign up in the Counseling office by Friday, February 12th.  Approximate end -time is 3:15 pm.

Attention ALL Juniors!  Sorry you can’t sleep in on February 24th,  even though it’s a late start Wednesday because your MANDATORY “Junior Advisement” session will take place that morning. All Juniors are required to attend this Junior Advisement session.  Students with last names beginning with A-L need to report to your assigned classroom at 7:20am.  Last names beginning with M-Z report to classrooms at 8:05am for a prompt 8:15am start.  When you enter the building, check for your name on the class lists which will be posted in the front lobby.  Report to the Business Hallway classroom to which you’re assigned.  Remember, no bus transportation will be provided for this early session. If you have questions, stop by Post Grad.

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Please congratulate Littleton FCCLA on demonstrating their outstanding knife cut skills and taking home the win from the District Salsa Wars.

Congratulations to all of the Varsity Lady Lionfish who competed at the league meet last Friday and Saturday!  The team placed 5th overall and added more state qualifying times:  Abbey VanKooten in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle; Reganne Fornstrom in the 200 Individual Medley; Lydia VanKooten in the 50 Freestyle; and Hailey Egelhoff in the 100 Backstroke.  Way to go ladies! Congratulations also to Emily Sanders for a state qualifying time in 100 Backstroke at the CO Coaches Invitational.

The Model UN Club will meet TODAY at 2:20 in room 2609. We will discuss the upcoming Fossil Ridge High School Model UN Conference, the New York Conference, and a time for our club Yearbook photo.

Attention all Student Council members, we need your help tomorrow after school to put together Val-O-Grams!!  Since we were unable to have our General Council meeting last week, we did not get a committee together; so this has to be a combined effort among Officers and Ambassadors!! Students we would like to share information with you about the Colorado State Assessments for this year.  Due to the late decisions made by the state legislature, not all of the details have been finalized. We will share information with you in a timely manner.

What we do know:
Freshmen will take the PARCC test in English Language Arts and Math.  This test is online and will be given April 19 - 21.
Sophomores will take the PSAT on April 20.  This test is paper/pencil and will not qualify students for National Merit.
Juniors will take the ACT on April 19 and PARCC Science on April 21.  ACT is paper/pencil, while PARCC will be online.  **** Juniors who are interested in receiving a voucher to take the ACT+ Writing, must sign up in the LHS Counseling Office by this Friday, February 5. That test will be given off campus on April 9.

Testing will be done in the morning, we will have a lunch period, and classes will be held after lunch. More details to come about bell schedule, bus times, and Room assignments.  Stay Tuned!

Unified has a home game TONIGHT at 7pm.  The theme once again is Super, so come join us for a super fun night!

Knitting Club Members, we have our meeting TODAY in Ms. Quill's room (1602).  If you have paid already, Ms. Q and Ms. A thank you immensely, if not, please bring your knitted square and $12.00 as well.  We look forward to seeing you there.

ATTENTION NHS MEMBERS! We have our mandatory monthly meeting TODAY right after school in the forum. We will be taking our yearbook picture, so please plan to attend. See you all then!

Attention all students interested in yearbook.  You MUST participate in an interview.  Please go to Mrs. Fisher's desk in the language arts office today to sign up for your group interview time. Interviews will be held TODAY and Tuesday after school.

Littleton High School will be rolling out our brand new website this week!  The new website is user-friendly and showcases the amazing students, faculty and community here at LHS.  We have updated and reorganized information, and the site is easy to navigate.  Once we go live, if you have questions please contact the Main Office for assistance.

LHS Booster Club meeting will be TONIGHT (Monday, February 8) at 7pm in the Forum.  LHS Athletic Director, Preston Davis, will be discussing a new direction for the Booster Club and how it will support LHS athletics in the 2016-2017 school year.  Also come to learn more about the first annual LHS car show scheduled for September 25, and the Booster Club social at Felt on March 14. All parents and coaches are encouraged to attend.
