STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Congratulations and Recognition:

The Girls basketball team is the 4-A Academic State Champions. They have the highest GPA of any basketball program in the state.

Boys Lacrosse defeated last year’s final four team, Battle Mountain High School, to kick off the 2017 season. Congrats boys!

The Varsity girl's soccer team beat Pomona 5-0 on Saturday. Sarah Gray had a hatrick, Sarah Payson scored one and Anna Newby scored a goal and had two assists. Katie Puchino had the other assist and goalkeeper Lily Jensen recorded the shutout. Congratulations ladies!

Congratulations to the JV soccer team for their 2-1 win over Pomona. Strong defense by Gillian Olin and goals by Izzy Colkitt and Allie Puckett lead the Lions.

Academics:

Calling all seniors who want to audition to speak at graduation! Auditions will be held on April 19th-20th in Mr. Wentz’s room (Room 1606). To sign up, go to the main office!

IB JUNIORS, please remember that your second Extended Essay workshop is Wednesday, March 15, at 8 am in the Forum. Refer to instructions in the email you received last week so you know how to prepare for this mandatory meeting. Bring your chromebooks and be prompt. See Ms. Anderson or Mrs. Stulock with questions.

Clubs and Activities:

There is a PEAS Club meeting on Tuesday, March 14 after school in room 1324. We will be cleaning in the greenhouse

Attention NHS members! We have our mandatory monthly meeting today, 3/13 after school in the forum. We will discuss service projects, have our raffle, and take the yearbook picture. Be there!

Special Events:

St. Patrick's Day is almost here and Student Council has a fun way for you to help our community--buy a SHAM-O-GRAM! Sham O Grams are just like Val O Grams,  you get to send a fun note to a friend, plus they get some chocolate, all for a buck! This year, you will also be helping out a teenager living at the Littleton Urban Peak center, as all the money will go to that organization. So, help out a teen in need and make all your friends happy too-buy a Sham O Gram!

Blog Announcements:

Attention students (especially Juniors)!  The Rocky Mountain Association for College Admission Counseling (RMACAC) will be having a spring college fair on Sunday, March 19th, 1:00-3:30, at the University of Denver Ritchie Center.  Over 160 in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities will be there.  It is free, and you are not required to register, but if you'd like to, you can register at gotocollegefairs.com.

Attention students needing help in Math or Science - Lockheed Martin Engineers come every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30pm to tutor our students.  This is a free and amazing tutoring service that Lockheed Martin provides.  Tutoring is in room 1740, please use the Forum entrance.

Attention Seniors - Post Grad has created a new list of current scholarships which is now available on Naviance.  New additions are added regularly, so check the list often!
