Academics:

The names of students who have library fines and overdue library materials have been posted in the library. Please come down and review the lists to see if you need to take care of an overdue item or a fine. Fines have been posted on Infinite campus.

Clubs and Activities:

Art Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club are co-hosting a tie-dye party on Wednesday, April 5 from 2:30-3:30 in the big art room. You can buy a shirt to dye for $5 ($4 for Art Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club members). You can bring other 100% cotton stuff to dye if you want. Make the world more colorful with tie-dye!

FCCLA/Culinary Club will be having a Salsa Wars on Thursday, April 6th in rm 1972.  All competing teams need to remember bring their ingredients that day.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, we have a General Council meeting TODAY at 2:20 in the forum. See you there!

Tomorrow, 4/4/17, the  LHS PTO is sponsoring a Community Event held at Bad Daddy’s, located in the Streets of Southglenn from 5PM to 9PM!  Proceeds will go to After Prom. One lucky person will win a free Amazon Fire-tablet! Just say you’re there to support LHS!

Sports:

Volleyball open gym starts today, April 3 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the North Gym. Come meet the new head coach, Coach Katie, and get an early start to playing volleyball.

Blog Announcements:

The LHS Swim Proficiency test will be Wednesday, April 12th at 9:30 a.m. Sign-up in the Counseling Office starting Monday, April 3rd. Space is limited to the first 30 students.

State Testing is coming soon! Mark your calendars!
Seriously put these dates in your phone or in your planner.
Juniors you will be taking the SAT on Tuesday, April 11 and the CMAS Science on Thursday, April 13.
Sophomores you will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, April 12.
And Freshman you will be taking the CMAS English/Language Arts & Math tests on Tuesday - Thursday, April 11 - 13.
And one other important date -  April 5 will be an Odd-period Seminar day, and Seminar that day will be extended.  Juniors and Sophomores will be completing pre-assessment tasks (aka bubblint).  Freshmen you will be completing CMAS prep activities, and seniors will have a challenging and fun activity to pass on their wisdom and advice.
The bell schedule for April 5, and the testing days bell schedules are posted on the LHS website.

Attention students needing help in Math or Science - Lockheed Martin Engineers come every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30pm to tutor our students.  This is a free and amazing tutoring service that Lockheed Martin provides.  Tutoring is in room 1740, please use the Forum entrance.
