SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to the Varsity, JV, L3 and L4 Women's Volleyball Teams for their victories over the Trojans at Thornton High School on Thursday, Sep 7th!  Great hosts, great teams' spirits, great competition and tough games!  GO LIONS!

Our soccer teams remain undefeated on the season with varsity cruising to a 5 - 0 win over Sheridan and JV beating Chatfield 3 to 1 on Saturday. Good luck in today's game vs. Mitchel

Congratulations to our amazing cross country team for their great race at Liberty Bell last Friday! The highlight was Addi Iken, who ran an astounding 18:21 to win her division! This is a great victory in one of Colorado's premier races! Way to go Addi! The rest of the girls had solid races, with some awesome freshmen representation on varsity. On our boys team, junior Christian Sapakoff got 8th in his division with an astonishing 16:52! The boys varsity team raced well, with speedy times all around, as well as a fantastic pack time in the Open race! Go LHS XC! Wish the team luck at its next meet on Saturday in Middle Park

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Seniors!  All Yearbook Senior Photos taken by outside photographers must be received by Mrs. Fisher by this Friday, September 15.  Please email photos directly to her, no hard copies will be accepted.

Bettinger Photography will be on campus to take FREE senior portraits of all interested seniors on October 5 and 6.  If you did not take a senior photo with an outside photographer please plan to take a photo with Bettinger during those dates.  We don't want any senior left out of the yearbook so please take advantage of this free opportunity for a professional senior photo.

 CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Wednesday September 13th in room 2605. Come join this club as we make
a difference. We will be planning volunteering activities for the next
few months.

Attention current NHS members! We have our September meeting today, Sept. 11th after school in the forum. See you then!

Attention All Students- Key Club is a community service club that lets you make friends and give back to your community in a meaningful way.  We are having our fall kick-off round 2 this Thursday, September 14, right after school in room 2620.  Everyone is welcome to attend and get more information.  We will have free pizza!  See Mrs. Anthamatten or Mrs. Fisher with any question

Do you like creative writing? Do you like to write poetry, short stories, plays and more? Then join Inspirlions, LHS's creative writing club! We will have our first meeting today, September 11 in room 1745. See you then!

Homecoming tickets are on sale starting TODAY in the cafeteria during lunches!  The cost is $17, which gets you soda and snacks at the dance, and amazing DJ and tons of fun!  Get your early, so you dont have to wait in line the night of!

Tomorrow the Homecoming fun starts right after school in the North gym--it is DODGEBALL!!  Come down and have some fun playing or watching all your friends play, it is free for all!

Today during lunches, show off your Lip Syncing talents and start the Homecoming week off with a song!  It doesn't cost a thing, we're just asking for a donation of a dollar.

Dress up tomorrow--it's NEON DAY!  And don’t forget your class t-shirt, beginning today-Mon-they will be available after school as well as during lunches.

Homecoming Royalty Nominations are being taken during lunches today outside the cafeteria!  Come and nominate your friends for the Homecoming Royalty Court! This is for classes 9-12!

And more fun with Homecoming is the annual BONFIRE!! Wednesday is the day, stadium parking lot is the place and 7pm is the time!  The girls will play some Powder Puff football down on the grass fields from 2:45-3:30, so come and cheer them on, then come back for some more spirit at the Bonfire! We will have some free food, games, and of course the fire.  See you there!



ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all Seniors!  The Boettcher Scholarship application is now open. This prestigious and highly competitive scholarship offers full ride funding for four years to any college or university in Colorado. That's huge! The deadline to submit your application is October 6th, but don't delay because it's a challenging application that will take some time to complete. You can Google Boettcher Scholarship for more details and to begin the application
