Student Congratulations and Recognition:

The varsity girls soccer team blasted into the playoffs with a 5-0 win over #14 ranked Niwot last night. Sarah Payson had a hat trick, Sarah Gray a goal and two assists, Lizzy Hernandez a goal and Anna Newby an assist. Keeper Lily Jensen had the shutout. Congratulations ladies. Good luck in the playoffs!

Congrats to the Track Team as they battled both 4A and 5A Jeffco schools in a 18 team meet the past two evenings!There is a long list of great finishes and Personal Bests, here are your Meet Champions! Congrats!

Attention all juniors and seniors – The science department is offering a new year-long class starting in the fall, called IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science. Do you think you want to be a physical therapist or start a career in sports medicine? Are you interested in sports and how athletes perform? Are you intrigued by how a person’s mind affects his body?  If so, then come to the counseling office and fill out a quick application for this new course. This class if for all juniors and seniors, not just IB diploma students. Applications are due to Mrs. Tran in counseling by May 10, 2017. Hurry up before the class fills to capacity.

Rock'n Pop - a Fine Arts elective open to 10th - 12th graders
IB Global Politics - a Social Studies elective open to 11th & 12th graders
AP Environmental Science - a Science elective open to 11th & 12th graders

The Yearbooks are Here!  If you pre-ordered a yearbook, you can pick up your book on Monday, May 8 after school in the South Gym.  Don't miss out on being among the first students to see this awesome book.  If you cannot make distribution on Monday, your book will be waiting for you in the main office. If you didn't pre-purchase a book, it is not too late.  We will have a limited number of books for sale at the bookkeeper's window beginning at 7a.m. on Tuesday, May 9. Don't delay!  Once they are gone we cannot get anymore. Cash or check to LHS Yearbook $75.00

Students please be aware that we will be collecting chromebooks soon and if there are any broken ones, they need to be repaired BEFORE May 10th.  The first repair is FREE so If you have waited because you were afraid of getting into trouble - don't worry.  We just want working computers so we can reuse them next year. "

Congratulations to the Baseball Team for their 10-9 extra inning victory over Valor last night. George Schiebel was selected the Player of the Game.
He went four for five at the plate with four singles,two runs scored and two runs batted in. Good Luck Friday as the team faces Golden at 4:00pm.
