SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The soccer teams had big wins yesterday. Varsity shutout Pomona 5 to 0 and JV beat Bear Creek 11 to 1.

Your Lions Ultimate Mixed team defeated Colorado Academy, 8-7, yesterday in an amazing comeback that ended with a winning catch made by sophomore Dilara Ertunc in universe point. Wish them luck as they take on Regis next week with hopes of maintaining their undefeated record!

 CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 Come help us get the greenhouse ready to plant some veggies at greenhouse club  next Tuesday the 19th.. there is even a food surprise waiting!

Homecoming Fun continues today after school with our awesome Parade through downtown Littleton. We have 27 groups in our parade this year, making it one of our largest in a while! If you are in the parade, but don’t have a ride to Bemis library-where it begins,OR you want to watch, there will be a free bus to Bemis or dwntwn out front at 2:30. And a bus to bring you back after. See you there!

If you are stuck here at school after the parade and need some dinner...we have the perfect solution! Student Council is having a Tailgater starting at 5:45! We will serve hot dogs, chips desserts and a drink, all for  $3-UNLESS you are a freshman or an 8th grader, then it is FREE!

The dance is finally here! Tickets are on sale today during lunches, so get yours early. They WILL be sold at the door the night of the dance for the same price. The dance is from 8pm-11pm. Semi-formal, which means no denim, no hats, and follow Code of Conduct rules.

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members. There is a General Council meeting after school on Monday Sept 18, 2:25 in the forum. We will be doing homecoming evaluation and talking about lions follies, PLUS treats will be served!! See you there!

Attention NHS applicants! We will be holding one final question and answer session about NHS and the application process Monday, September 18th after school in Ms. Fritz' room (1749). This will be the last session we hold before applications are due FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd by 2:30. Hope to see you there.

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Juniors and Sophomores:
The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 11th at 7:00 a.m. in the South Gym. Registration will begin Monday, September 18th and conclude Friday, October 6th.  Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!

Attention Juniors & Seniors. Admissions reps from Monmoth College, Chapman University and the University of Oregon will be here at Littleton on Monday, September 18th. One Tuesday, the 19th, we'll host the University of St. Louis.  Sign up to attend on Naviance and stop by Post Grad for a pass from class

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Please join LHS PTO for a homecoming tradition at Merle's this afternoon. We are going to gather on the rooftop for prime viewing of the homecoming parade. We will gather around 2:30 and enjoy some food and drink at Merle's before the homecoming parade comes by!  PLEASE join us!!!

The Daniels Scholarship Program opens Sept. 29th.  This scholarship provides a four-year annually-renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors with financial need who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Tonight in the, stadium parking lot is the place and 7pm is the time!  The girls will play some Powder Puff football down on the grass fields from 2:45-3:30, so come and cheer them on, then come back for some more spirit at the Bonfire! We will have some free food, games, and of course the fire.  See you there!

There will be a Model United Nations Club meeting today at 2:20pm in Room 2609 in the Social Studies Hall. All students who are interested in the Boulder High School Introduction to Model UN Conference this upcoming Saturday, September 16th

The soccer teams had a successful outing last night against Mitchell. Varsity won 4 to 0 with Zach Maguire scoring two goals. JV won 9 to 0, with Jorge Aguilar scoring a hat trick. Watch our Varsity soccer team take on Pomona this Thursday at 4:00 in the stadium.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to the Varsity, JV, L3 and L4 Women's Volleyball Teams for their victories over the Trojans at Thornton High School on Thursday, Sep 7th!  Great hosts, great teams' spirits, great competition and tough games!  GO LIONS!

Our soccer teams remain undefeated on the season with varsity cruising to a 5 - 0 win over Sheridan and JV beating Chatfield 3 to 1 on Saturday. Good luck in today's game vs. Mitchel

Congratulations to our amazing cross country team for their great race at Liberty Bell last Friday! The highlight was Addi Iken, who ran an astounding 18:21 to win her division! This is a great victory in one of Colorado's premier races! Way to go Addi! The rest of the girls had solid races, with some awesome freshmen representation on varsity. On our boys team, junior Christian Sapakoff got 8th in his division with an astonishing 16:52! The boys varsity team raced well, with speedy times all around, as well as a fantastic pack time in the Open race! Go LHS XC! Wish the team luck at its next meet on Saturday in Middle Park

Homecoming tickets are on sale starting TODAY in the cafeteria during lunches!  The cost is $17, which gets you soda and snacks at the dance, and amazing DJ and tons of fun!  Get your early, so you dont have to wait in line the night of!
