STUDENT BULLETIN

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

The LHS Speech and Debate team had a stellar outing at the inaugural Colorado Cup held at Mullen High School this past Friday and Saturday.  Leading the way were Seniors Matt Sehgal & Ben Morris who placed 9th in Public Forum debate.  Also performing well were Ivy Secrest and Addie Bouck who placed 12th in Public Forum, Kait Schultz placed 9th in Drama, Natalie Parkhurst placed 6th in Humor, Jack Rogers placed 3rd in Humor, Ally Procopio placed 11th in Informative Speaking, Rebecca Zickerman placed 11th in Original Oratory, and  Julia Valdez took 2nd place in Poetry.  Great job Lions!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Leo club members croquet is canceled for today.  Instead, please meet after school in room 2605 to discuss other upcoming volunteer activities.

National Honor Society members you have a meeting in the forum after school today.
GSA will be meeting after school tomorrow in room 1604, come check us out! All are welcome.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There will be a Girls Tennis Meeting this Thursday, January 25 at 2:30 pm in room 1971! No experience required! Come to meet the new coach and learn about the season!

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors!  Life After Littleton Night is tomorrow, January 23, 6-8 pm, at LHS.  What are your plans for after high school?  Come learn about your many options! You can choose from nine different breakout sessions, including: Skilled Trades Careers, Education, & Apprenticeships; Community College Certificate Programs; Generating Your College List; College Entrance Exams; Parents’ Role in the College Process; Financial Aid; Scholarships; and Earning College Credit While in High School.  Bring your parents/guardians and start planning for your life after Littleton!

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Registration for Spring Sports is now open. Please register through the LHS Athletic website. The first day of Spring Sports season is Monday, February 26.

Students and staff:  Bonfils Blood Center will be here on Thursday, January 25th, and Friday, January 26th from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.  If you have an off period and would like to potentially save 3 lives by donating blood, please contact Mr. Hahn in the counseling office.

LHS will host the "USA Gap Year Fair" on Sunday, January 28th in the Cafeteria and South Gym. This fair takes place in several cities across the U.S. each year, and Littleton is lucky to host it for the Denver area this year.  Speakers will present from 1-2pm and the fair, which will include dozens of exhibitors, will take place from 2-4pm. Event is FREE
