STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congrats to Both the Boys and Girls Track Teams who defeated Wheat Ridge at the LPS Duals Meet on Saturday. The Boys won a nail-biter 62-59 while the Girls defeated the Farmers 81-6! Great Work by all!

Over the weekend, 8 LHS students traveled to Ft. Collins to compete in the CHSAA State Speech and Debate Tournament.  Ben and Grace Greenly placed 12th in Duo Interp, and Julia Valdez placed 7th in Poetry Interp.  Great season to the entire team, now onto nat quals!"

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all Beginning Swim classes, classes will not be in the pool this week. Mr. Chandler’s and Mr. Banfield’s swim classes should dress out with, gym clothes and meet at the pool for further instructions.

Juniors - Time is running out!  Our final Junior meetings are scheduled for this Friday, March 23, and time slots are limited, but you CAN still schedule a meeting! Please sign up using the SignUp Genius link you received in Seminar, or stop by the Post Grad Center, and we can sign you up. 

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, there is a very important meeting today March 19th in the forum starting at 2:25.  PLEASE BE THERE!!

Get your tickets for the LHS concert-of-the-year, "The Drop That Contained the Sea" by Grammy-award-winning composer Christopher Tin.  The concert, featuring Troubadours, Syrens, Orchestra and featured student soloists, will take place this Wednesday, March 21st, at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from Mr. Farrell, online at www.lhsperformingarts.net or at the door on Wednesday.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Tennis practice is canceled for Monday, 3/19, due to weather.

There will be a short meeting today, the 19th, in the north gym for anyone who is thinking about playing football next year.

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:

For all of you Chipotle lovers out there, and I know there are a lot of you, PTO is hosting a fundraiser at the Chipotle across the street.  Come with friends and enjoy a burrito Tuesday, March 20th from 5-9.  Bring a flyer or mention that you are with LHS, and half of everything you spend will go towards LHS After-Prom.  Tell your friends, tell your parents…just please participate.

LHS will host our second annual "Trade & Tech Fair"  next Tuesday, March 20th between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm in the North Gym.  If you're beginning to plan for your life after high school, and want to find out more about alternatives to going to college, stop by during your lunch period or an OFF period. You'll have the chance to get information and speak with representatives from a wide variety of non-college options.
