STUDENT BULLETIN:

Lions, remember that Thursdays are College Thursdays at LHS. Wear your college gear tomorrow and every Thursday.

The Stride is on Sunday, October 28th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? Register online at RunTheStride.com and get a $5 discount before 9/20. Price goes up from $17 now to $22 on 9/21!! Please be sure to put Littleton High School in the "I support" section! This is a fantastic school community event!! Bring your friends and family and come and Stride with us!

Homecoming week is just around the corner! The theme is Mardi Gras, and it's time to start thinking about the dress up days for next week!

Monday is glitter/sparkle day
Tuesday is tourist day
Wednesday is mardi gras colors and beads day
Thursday is spooky day
Friday is class shirt day!
We hope to see all of you dressed up!

Attention Seniors! Have you taken your senior photo yet? If you are submitting a photo from an outside photographer or friend - your photo must be submitted to Mrs. Fisher by this Friday, September 14! All other seniors, please plan to have your photo taken by our professional school photographer on Thursday, October 4. This photo session is entirely free. We want every senior to have a professional photo for their senior photo. Look for a note to be delivered to you with your appointment time for October 4. See Mrs. Fisher with any questions.

Attention Seniors! The prestigious and highly valuable Boettcher Scholarship is now open for application. Students who are named Boettcher Scholars receive a four-year, full-ride scholarship to any college or university in Colorado, public or private. If you'd like to apply and have NOT already received an invitation via email, stop by the Post Grad Center or email Mrs. Reimers to request an invitation. The deadline for completed applications is October 5th.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! Admissions reps from St. Louis University and Trinity University will be at Littleton tomorrow. Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend, and stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass from class.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Students planning to participate in Speech and Debate this year, we have an informational meeting tomorrow night at 6:15pm in the forum. We will cover the season ahead, team goals and expectations, and you'll have a chance to meet our team and coaches. All new and returning team members must attend with their parents. See Coach Saliman if you have questions, and we'll see you there!

Key Club will meet tomorrow, Thursday,  September 13th in room 2620 at 7:50 a.m. We will be working on our Homecoming carnival booth. Feel free to bring your permission slip and check for membership dues to this meeting if you already know you want to join. All LHS students are welcome to come along and learn more about Key Club even if you did not attend our first meeting on August 30th.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to Level 3 and Level 4 volleyball for their wins against Green Mountain last night. Way to represent Lions!

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Cross Country Team on their second place finish at the Elizabeth Cross Country Invitational. The squad, led by Christian Olsen who finished fourth, demonstrated excellent pack running with Henry Jackson, Cooper Brown, Matthew Sapakoff and Donny Marshall finishing 12, 13, 14 and 15, respectively. Grady Redding rounded out the team. In the Boys Open, Hans Romine was second overall.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Cross Country Team on their fourth-place finish at the Elizabeth Cross Country Invitational. Three girls finished in the top ten including Grace Valentine, Hailey Lockhart, and Emily Caldwell. Eva deThomas, Grace Greenly, Emily Holzman, and Rachel Tobler rounded out the team. In the Girls Open, Morgan Kelly was seventh overall.

The boy's varsity tennis team defeated Wheat Ridge 6-1. The boys JV team also defeated
Wheat Ridge. The season record is 4-1.
