Students - Yesterday, we celebrated Veterans Day. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans and gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.

You will notice we have asked several veterans, who are staff members, to lead us in the pledge throughout the week. We encourage you to think about the sacrifices these veterans have made and take a moment to thank them for their service.

Today, our campus supervisor, John Mathews, will lead us in the pledge. John served in the United States Marine Corps as a sergeant from 1981-1985. He was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, at the Marine Corp Air station; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and also in Denmark. For the first two years of service, he was a field military policeman with the second field service support group. He finished his career as a base military policeman. John, we thank you for your service.
