STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to our Lions Varsity Wrestling Team for their dual VICTORY last night vs. Faith Christian, 23-18. Nolan Keuney and Dakota  Palin had pins, DM Hallett had a technical fall. Great job Coach Moore and team!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Time is running out to pre-order a yearbook!  See the bookkeeper to get your copy secured today!  The deadline to pre-order is Monday.  After that, we will have a limited number for sale at the end of the year, but we always sell out!  The only way to secure your copy is to pre-order asap!  Please see Mrs. Fisher with questions.

Bonfils Blood Center is here in the forum today and they are truly in need of blood this month.  If you cannot donate ask your parents, family members or neighbors.  Please just have them contact Mr. Hahn to schedule a time.  Thanks! 

Next Tuesday, January 30th, come join GSA after school in the forum for a showing of Too Wong Foo!  Free to come and enjoy some snacks and a fun show!

Registration for Spring Sports is now open. Please register through the LHS Athletic website. The first day of Spring Sports season is Monday, February 26.

LHS will host the "USA Gap Year Fair" on Sunday, January 28th in the Cafeteria and South Gym. This fair takes place in several cities across the U.S. each year, and Littleton is lucky to host it for the Denver area this year.  Speakers will present from 1-2pm and the fair, which will include dozens of exhibitors, will take place from 2-4pm.    Event is FREE

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to both our JV and varsity teams who earned big wins over Wheat Ridge last night.  Senior Katie Puchino led the way for varsity with 15 points and 7 steals while senior Rebekah Sandstrom added 12 points and 18 rebounds.  Make sure to come out this Friday night to pack the house as our Lions take on Valor!!"

A representative from Metropolitan State University will be in the Post Grad Center today, Jan. 25th, from 10:30 to 12:45 for a Free Application Day.  This means that you can learn about Metro, apply for admission, and receive an on-the-spot admission decision.  And your application fee will be waived!

Key Club will meet in room 2620 today after school to discuss projects for this Spring.  All are welcome!

POLITICAL COMMITTEE will meet in room 2608 after school today.

PACK THE POOL, today, 25th, for the Girls Swimming Senior night!  Bring balloons for the seniors or flowers to give to the seniors!  Wear your PURPLE and GOLD and have some fun cheering on our swimmers! The fun starts at 4pm!

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

A big shout out to the Early High School Brain bowl teams. We took 2 teams to the Optimist Regional Brain bowl this past weekend and both teams finished in the top 8.   One of the teams, consisting of: Henry Mansfield, Jen Zirkle, Tim Currie and Carlos Martinez won the entire event and will be representing LHS Early High School in the state wide Optimist Brain bowl on February 24th. Great job guys. 

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

LHS STEM Students- if you are participating in the Union Station/EPA STEM field trip on Monday please have your permission slip turned into Mrs. Bartlett by the end of the day today.

Congratulations to the UNIFIED Lions for their 113-88 victory over Dakota Ridge.  Ruben 28 points, 10 rebounds, Scott 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, Patrick 12 points, 5 assists.  Next game Tuesday Jan 30th at Arapahoe.. Come cheer them to victory!

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors!  Life After Littleton Night is tonight January 23, 6-8 pm, at LHS.  What are your plans for after high school?  Come learn about your many options! You can choose from nine different breakout sessions, including: Skilled Trades Careers, Education, & Apprenticeships; Community College Certificate Programs; Generating Your College List; College Entrance Exams; Parents’ Role in the College Process; Financial Aid; Scholarships; and Earning College Credit While in High School.  Bring your parents/guardians and start planning for your life after Littleton!

Club Night at Girls basketball is Monday Jan 29th!!  Any member of a Club will get in for ONLY 1 dollar if they show a special ticket. The tickets can be picked up from Ms Prestel, Mrs. Gobble or YOUR club sponsor for the tickets.  There will also be a raffle for all Club members and fun games at halftime!  AND, it is Hawaiian Night--wear your best Hawaiian shirt or pick up a flowered lei as you walk in!! This is a great chance to show off your club spirit and to support girls basketball!  Festivities start at 6pm!

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

The LHS Speech and Debate team had a stellar outing at the inaugural Colorado Cup held at Mullen High School this past Friday and Saturday.  Leading the way were Seniors Matt Sehgal & Ben Morris who placed 9th in Public Forum debate.  Also performing well were Ivy Secrest and Addie Bouck who placed 12th in Public Forum, Kait Schultz placed 9th in Drama, Natalie Parkhurst placed 6th in Humor, Jack Rogers placed 3rd in Humor, Ally Procopio placed 11th in Informative Speaking, Rebecca Zickerman placed 11th in Original Oratory, and  Julia Valdez took 2nd place in Poetry.  Great job Lions!

Leo club members croquet is canceled for today.  Instead, please meet after school in room 2605 to discuss other upcoming volunteer activities.
